Как проходит сертификация?

Сертификация проходит в виде тестирования на русском языке. Тест состоит из 200 вопросов с четырьмя вариантами ответов, один из которых является правильным.
Продолжительность экзаменационного тестирования 4 часа.
В настоящее время сертификация проводится преимущественно online. - Если соискатель правильно отвечает на 67 % вопросов, тестирование считается пройденным успешно. Независимо от результата экзамена составляется протокол. В нем указаны результат теста и процент правильных ответов по каждой из областей знаний.

В случае успешного прохождения тестирования соискатель получает сертификат и значок PME® (Project Management Expert) в течение 15 дней
со дня объявления результатов. Также высылаются специальный электронный бейдж, QR-код и ссылка на страницу с подтверждением статуса PME.

Пока свежи воспоминания, хочу поделиться своим опытом и ощущениями от сдачи экзамена PME — Project Management Expert.
Сдавал 11 июля.
Это наш российский аналог PMP, проводимый PMExpert, экзамен проходит по той же схеме и по тем же вопросам (ну практически) как PMP.
Те же 200 вопросов за те же 4 часа, правда на русском.

Месяца 3 наза начал очень плотно готовится к PMP (Project Management Professional, который планирую сдавать в сентябре), и для увеличения самомотивации и подведения промежуточных итогов подготовки решил пройти сертификацию на PME. Записался на PME на 11 июля месяца за 1.5, таким образом «поместив себя в местность смерти» (по Тарасову) — в определенные временные рамки — и отрезав дорогу к отступлению.
И в итоге все получилось ИМХО очень хорошо. Экзамен PME сдал с результатом 87,5% правильных ответов — насколько я понял, я вошел в десятку лучших по этому показателю из 200 человек сдавших PME на данный момент. Приятно :-). Проходной бал для PME — 67% правильных ответов.
Теперь сама процедура и мои ощущения от экзамена:
Она очень похожа на PMP.
Начало в 10.00, длится 4 часа, проходит в офисе PMExpert, все в одном классе, по 1-2 человека за партой.
Калькуляторы дают, ручки у всех свои были, но я думаю дадут если что. Бумага для записей выдается вместе с комплектом тестов и сдается по окончании.
Кстати, забыл сказать главное — экзамен проходит не на компьюетере, а в бумажном виде.
Выходить можно и ходить в рамках офиса PMExpert, попить воды можно из кулера прямо в аудитории.
Теперь про время.
4 часа ИМХО хватает за глаза.
Для себя выработал 3-х ступенчатую схему и ее придерживался.
Сначала прошелся первым проходом:
— отвечал на вопросы в которых уверен,
— не отвечал и помечал как не отвеченные в листе для записей вопросы которые вызывали большие сомнения,
— отвечал но помечал для последующей проверки в листе для записей вопросы, в которых сомневался.
на первый проход у меня ушло часа 2,5, количество неотвеченных вопросов после него было порядка 15, с сомнениями — порядка 40.
Попил, отдохнул минут 5 — и второй проход — ответ на неотвеченные вопросы.
Попил, отдохнул минут 5 — третий проход — проверка ответов с сомнениями — исправил около 10 ответов (исправления допускаются, главное чтоб было четко понятно какой ответ правильный в итоге).
Итого осталось где то 20 минут до конца — я все закончил, спокойно проверил заполнение анкеты, реквизитов своих — и пошел сдал работу минут за 10 до конца.
Для себя решил что торопиться не стоит и стоит использовать практически все отведеное время, что я и сделал.
Теперь отличие PME от PMP.
1. Форма проведения — бумага. Мне показалось это очень удобным, облегчается быстрый доступ ко всему пулу вопросов, можно перелистнуть назад и быстро найти нужный вопрос. Например, это было полезно в начале — я просмотрел все вопросы и выписал на листе нужные формулы, которые нужны для ответа на вопросы которые у меня были. Плюс от бумаги глаза устают ИМХО меньше. Минус — результаты официально я узнал только где то через неделю.
2. Язык русский с хорошим переводом — конечно упрощет сдачу, в нужным местах термины и обозначения на английском — ИМХО тоже плюс чтобы не путаться.
3. Сами вопросы — мне показался экзамен легче PMP субъективно процентов на 20 (сравниваю с тестовыми вопросами Риты и Майкла Ньюэлла). Однако говорю про свой вариант — вообще вариантов вопросов несколько — тем кто сидит рядом точно давали разные варианты.
— Достаточно много относительно простых вопросов на теорию.
— Но и каверзных неоднозначных вопросов достаточно. Когда написал экзамен — не был уверен что сдал, было много сомнений.
— Расчетных заданий очень мало (не более 5-7 вопросов), что упрощало сдачу. Расчетные задачи в основном на освоенный объем, также были немного вероятностей и выбор проекта исходя из экономических показателей. Сложных и требующих много времени на подготовку расчетных вопросов не было.
— Прямых вопросов на входы выходы и тулсы как мне показалось не было, либо они были контекстно интегрированны в другие вопросы и я их наличие не отметил для себя.
— Достаточно много вопросов по рискам, общему менеджменту.
Что использовал для подготовки
1. PMBok 3 — когда начал готовиться, не было еще у меня 4 версии. Мне показалось что экзамен PME общий и в нем нет каких то нововведений 4 версии. Прошел PMBok раза 3. Но только PMBok явно не достаточно.
2. Майкл Ньюэлл «Управление проектами. Руководство по подготовке к сертификационному экзамену PMP» — прошел раза 3. Незаменимая книга ИМХО, много снимает вопросов по общему менеджменту, рискам.
3. Риту (по 3 версии PMBok) и ее тракер экзамена — не все прошел глубоко, планирую к PMP более плотно поработать с Ритой.
4. Разную другую литературу.
Вот в общем то вкрадце все.
В целом PMExpert молодцы, все было организовано на очень высоком уровне.
Теперь 2 недели отпуска и с середины августа опять плотная подготовка к PMP.
Наконец-то я собралась рассказать о том, как подготовиться к сдаче экзамена PMP (Project Management Professional). Тема объемная, руки не доходили описать целиком, а по кусочкам не хотелось. Вся статья основана исключительно на личном опыте, и, несмотря на то, что я сдавала экзамен в 2014 году, и что-то могло поменяться – в целом информация должна быть актуальной. Многие мои коллеги и знакомые сдавали PMP в последний год (в том числе с моей помощью при подготовке), и все было по-прежнему. Итак, поехали!
Общая информация o PMP
Подготовку и ознакомление с экзаменом PMP стоит начать с официального сайта PMI, где есть так называемый PMP Handbook – книга со всей информацией об экзамен, которая вам может понадобиться. В том числе там указаны требования к сдающим экзамен, стоимость экзамена, правила заполнения заявки на участие и прочие полезные вещи. Стоит прочитать от и до. Если вам кажется, что 41 страница – это слишком много, то подготовку лучше даже не начинать.
Если PMP Handbook вы прочитали, и ваше желание сдать PMP осталось неизменным – то самое время оплатить членство в PMI на том же сайте, которое дает весомую скидку на сам экзамен (причем скидка больше, чем стоимость членства), вашу собственную копию PMBOK (понятно, что пиратская у вас давно есть, но все равно приятно) и доступ к большому объему другой информации типа шаблонов, вебинаров и прочих полезных вещей. Но вам пока будет не до них, членство – это в первую очередь скидка, а во вторую – первое вложение денег в экзамен, которое будет мотивировать к нему готовиться. Все, первый шаг сделан, время переходить ко второму.
Кстати, на этом же этапе желательно определиться, готовы ли вы сдавать экзамен полностью на английском языке. Если да – отлично, т.к. русский перевод как минимум некачественен (и это еще мягко сказано), а как максимум – может очень прилично сбить с толку. Даже если английский хромает – я за то, чтобы готовиться сдавать именно на нем, терминология там не очень сложная, а русский язык взять на экзамене как “запасной”.
Есть мнение, что стоит сразу выбрать дату экзамена, зарегистрироваться и оплатить, лично я против этого искусственного дедлайна. Если вас никто не гонит – то лучше не создавать лишнего давления на психику, а готовиться неторопливо, с чувством, толком и расстановкой усваивая новые знания.
Способ подготовки к PMP
В целом есть следующие способы подготовки, которые можно использовать как вместе, так и по отдельности:
- Читать специальные книги для подготовки к экзамену.
- Установить или использовать онлайн программку-эмулятор экзамена с тысячей-другой вопросов и “гонять” ее по кругу, пока не придет дзен и появится глубокое понимание сути вопросов и того, каких ответов на них ждет PMI.
- Пойти на короткий онлайн-интенсив или на курс в какую-нибудь контору, обучающую управлению проектами, где за 3-5 дней вам в голову вобьют основные понятия и, если повезет, на них можно будет случайно “выехать” при сдаче экзамена.
У меня есть знакомые, сдававшие экзамен всеми этим способами, других способов я не знаю.
Лично я выбрала для себя сочетание способа 1 и способа 2 – купила набор PMP Exam Prep System, Eighth Edition от Риты Малкахи на официальном сайте. В комплекте идет книга для подготовки, диск для установки программы-эмулятора PMP Fast Track (в точности повторяет программу, которую вы будете использовать для сдачи экзамена) и набор карточек Hot Topics с короткими описаниями разных понятий в управлении проектами, чтобы читать в метро или где там выпадет свободная минутка. С карточками мои отношения в итоге не сложились, мне было не очень удобно ими пользоваться, а вот книга и программа – выше всяких похвал. Все удобно, структурированно, человеческим языком.
Важно! К сожалению, легально купить в России книгу нельзя (можно разве что через Avito или форумы у тех, кто уже сдал экзамен, с нарушением всех возможных авторских прав). На страничке магазина указано, в какие страны осуществляется доставка, и из стран СНГ там только Азербайджан. Я пробовала по почте и по телефону договориться о присылке в Россию, получила отказ и в итоге купила в Праге во время отпуска.
UPD 10.08.2017: В комментариях к статье читатели подсказывают, что теперь можно заказать диск официально в Москву, доставка DHL около 50 долларов.
Знакомые пользовались еще следующими книгами, но сама я их не видела и сказать, хорошие они или плохие, не могу: Head First PMP 3rd Edition, Jennifer Greene, Andrew Stellman и PMP Exam Practice Test and Study Guide, Ninth Edition, J. LeRoy Ward, Ginger Levin. Экзамен и тот и другой знакомый в итоге сдали.
Также в Google Play Market есть десятки, а то сотни приложений по подготовке к PMP, я установила штук тридцать, наверное, но в итоге пришла к выводу, что там только мусор, забивающий и голову, и телефон, ни одного дельного я не нашла. Плюс мне показалось, что не стоит размывать подготовку, и что книги и программы-эмулятора вполне достаточно. Но, возможно, с 2014 года появился какой-то более достойный вариант.
Подготовка к PMP
Я готовилась к экзамену около трех месяцев, уделяя этому от 30 до 60 минут в день (в основном, в транспорте), статистика по знакомым показывает, что всем тоже понадобилось примерно столько же времени.
Процесс на самом деле интересный, в какой-то момент в голове начинает появляться взаимоувязанная картинка процессов и накладываться на твой практический опыт. Считаю, что основная ценность сертификации именно в этом – разложить все “по полочкам”, переосмыслить свой опыт, начать мыслить более масштабно.
Схема подготовки была такая:
- Прочитать PMBOK на английском, чтобы вспомнить основные термины и процессы (противно, а что делать).
- Прочитать книгу Риты в первый раз, делая все упражнения и в конце каждого раздела проходя тест на эмуляторе по этому разделу и анализируя ошибки. Если хотя бы одно слово или его связь с процессом где-то непонятна – отмечать это на полях.
- Прочитать книгу Риты во второй раз, также делая все упражнения и также проходя тесты. При втором проходе особенно внимательно прорабатывать свои заметки на полях (почти все вопросы, на самом деле, ко второму прочтению уже отпадут).
- 4-5 раз пройти тест на эмуляторе в режиме “экзамен” (200 вопросов из разных разделов), разбирая каждую ошибку. Проанализировать (программа выдаст статистику), какие области и процессы “провисают” и еще раз перечитать их в книге Риты.
При этом важно стараться не зубрить, а понимать, как взаимосвязи, так и формулы. К слову, формулы стоит потренироваться выписывать на листок (а потом сверить на предмет правильности), пригодится на экзамене.
После того, как уровень правильных ответов при сдаче экзамена будет держаться на 85-95% или чуть раньше, за пару недель до этого, можно переходить к заполнению заявки и выбору даты экзамена.
В самом начале мы по совету из книги попытались объединиться с двумя другими коллегами и готовиться вместе, но ничего не вышло – то у кого-то возникали срочные дела, то кто-то не прорабатывал тему настолько, чтобы представить ее остальным, то случался еще какой-то форс-мажор. Нас хватило на месяц, потом мы начали готовиться по отдельности. В итоге один коллега с сертификатом, а второй так и нет.
Что, на мой взгляд, важно помнить при подготовке:
- Экзамен международный. И если что-то с точки зрения вашего российского опыта в экзамене или в книге неверно – это на самом деле верно.
- Экзамен – про большие проекты. То есть любой вопрос предполагает, что в проекте десятки людей, распределенные команды и проч. И тут никакие личные отношения не помогут, только максимальное использование инструментов управления проектами и формализм.
Заполнение заявки на PMP и выбор даты экзамена
В заполнении заявки нет ничего сложного, не буду долго на этом останавливаться. Интересен только момент описания своего опыта в области управления проектами. Чтобы исключить накладки и ошибки, и на случай возможного аудита, я сделала себе табличку в Excel, где расписала свой опыт по месяцам и проектам, просуммировала, а потом уже аккуратно перенесла в анкету.
По слухам, PMI выборочно рассылает запрос о подтверждении опыта и PDU, ни мне, ни одному из моих знакомых ни при первичном экзамене, ни при продлении сертификата такие запросы не приходили. Но в сети народ пишет, что кто-то получал, так что к этому следует быть готовым.
Одновременно можно выбирать дату и место экзамена, я сдавала в Prometric на м.Октябрьская (г. Москва). В сети был совет съездить туда заранее, чтобы осмотреться, все найти и быть морально готовым, думаю, он правильный. Но я 5 лет жила буквально в соседнем доме, отлично знала, что там и как, поэтому советом пренебрегла.
Тут уже самое время определиться со стратегией, которую вы будете применять на экзамене. Я выбрала для себя такую:
- Выписать сразу все формулы и пару сложных для меня определений на предоставленный листок, чтобы освободить голову.
- Отвечать на вопросы подряд. Если не знаю ответа – не ставить, что попало, отмечать вопрос как “Вернуться” и идти дальше.
- После того, как 200 вопросов закончатся – вернуться к неотвеченным и последовательно отвечать на них, вникая как можно глубже и вчитываясь в каждое слово. Если на каком-то вопросе совсем буду зависать – то ставить ответ, который кажется мне наиболее вероятным, но отметку “Вернуться” не снимать.
- Если останется время – еще раз просмотреть все вопросы и свои ответы на них, особенно уделяя внимание отмеченным.
- Если я все это сделаю, и время останется – не тянуть эту китайскую пытку, завершать экзамен и смотреть результат (в итоге я его закончила минут за 8 до официального окончания, кстати).
Сдача экзамена PMP
Тут уже пути назад нет, пришли так пришли, да и времени потраченного жалко. Как и перед любым экзаменом – ночью лучше спать, а не зубрить, и завтрак лучше съесть такой же как обычно. Кстати, это я жаворонок, а кому-то, возможно, будет удобнее сдавать экзамен после обеда.
Ну и важно не забыть письмо от PMI, которое придет на почту, и на основании которого вас допустят до экзамена.
Что нужно помнить на месте:
- Что у вас есть стратегия и надо ее использовать.
- Что вы отвечали минимум на 90% вопросов правильно при тестировании, и сейчас будет сложно что-то испортить.
- Что если вы не понимаете вопрос – не стоит паниковать, надо его просто пометить, пропустить и продолжать работу.
- Что если в вопросе три страницы текста А4 – то надо найти, в чем суть вопроса, и только потом на него отвечать.
- Что вопросы могут быть разных типов (единственный выбор, множественный выбор и проч.) и это надо учитывать. Но, скорее всего, вы поймете это уже при подготовке.
- Что нужно читать все ответы, а не указывать первый же, который вам покажется правильным. Это тот случай, когда “все ответы правильные, но некоторые правильнее других”.
- Что в кабинете для сдачи экзамена будет шумно и вообще некомфортно – экзамен не сдается одновременно, т.е. рядом с вами будут идти экзамены по финансам, английскому и любые другие, люди будут входить и выходить, им постоянно будет что-то объяснять контролер и проч. Если повезет – будут противошумные наушники, но на Октябрьской они были настолько старые и грязные, что я не рискнула ими пользоваться.
- Что кругом будут камеры, контролер будет суров и нелюбезен, а при проходе через рамку металлоискателя у вас отберут щипчики для ногтей. Sad but true.
- Что комфорта никто не обещал, и там может быть как очень холодно, так и очень жарко. Или из окна сильно дуть. Лучше взять что-то такое, типа толстовки, что можно снять и надеть.
- Что желательно принести водичку и шоколадку, и в середине экзамена сделать короткий перерыв на 5 минут на перекус и туалет, так как нагрузка на мозги достаточно серьезная. С собой в комнату тестирования взять не дадут (их вы оставите в специальном локере), а выйти и поесть – запросто (но время экзамена будет идти).
- Что если вы выбрали двуязычный экзамен и упорно не понимаете, что от вас хотят в английском вопросе – всегда есть возможность переключиться на русский и посмотреть (если вы не забыли выбрать эту опцию при регистрации на экзамен).
Что делать после сдачи PMP
Все! Экзамен сдан?! Самое время отдохнуть, выпить кофе и похвалится коллегам. А также время ждать сертификата и значка от PMI, которые придут примерно через месяц. Кстати, внимательно читайте письма с поздравления от PMI – судя по опыту подруги, теперь они не высылают значок и сертификат “по умолчанию”, нужно зайти и сделать соответствующий заказ с нулевой стоимостью в PMI Store. А до этого можно распечатать сертификат из личного кабинета.
Ну и если у вас в компании оплачивается получение сертификации (я как-то писала об этом) – то самое время предъявить чеки и получить заслуженное возмещение.

Совет напоследок – в России есть аналогичный экзамен, Project Management Expert (РМЕ), и некоторые сначала сдают его, а потом PMP (я тоже так сделала, с разницей буквально в неделю). Однако сейчас я бы советовала сдавать сначала PMP, а уже потом PME, т.к. а) PME на русском и дает неверный “посыл” с точки зрения терминологии б) PME намного проще, в том числе в организационном смысле (можно списать, одновременно сдается только этот экзамен и проч.), это сильно расслабляет.
