План эссе для ЕГЭ по английскому языку 2020

Любой пример эссе по английскому на ЕГЭ составлен по стандартному плану, который мы и изучим одновременно с речевыми клише. Таким образом, к концу занятия у нас сложится полное понимание структуры и содержания английского сочинения для госэкзамена.

Введение

Как и в случае с русскими примерами, эссе по английскому языку ЕГЭ требует начинать со вступительного слова. Для выполнения письменной части экзамена ученикам на выбор предоставляют 2 тезиса: соответственно, раскрытие выбранного утверждения и есть тема сочинения. В вводной части текста от учеников требуется лишь немного переформулировать исходный тезис своими словами и поставить акцент на его значимости. Помогут это сделать вступительные фразы для эссе на ЕГЭ по английскому.

Итак, для введения достаточно будет 2-3 развернутых предложений. При этом регламент экзамена не допускает использование разговорной лексики и сокращенных форм (I’ll, can’t, doesn’t и т.п.). Также неуместно употребление риторических вопросов.

Вступительная часть подводит нас к следующему разделу – формулировке собственного мнения. Этот абзац шаблон для эссе по английскому предлагает начать с помощью следующих комбинаций.

Аргументы «за»

В третьем абзаце эссе на ЕГЭ по английскому мы пишем доводы, подтверждающие нашу точку зрения. Это могут быть жизненные ситуации, логические размышления, ссылки на экспертное мнение или статистические данные.

Заметим, что по утвержденному регламенту для экзаменационного сочинения необходимо привести в поддержку своей позиции не менее 2-3 аргументов. С одной стороны, данный момент усложняет составление текста, зато с другой, позволяет широко применять перечисления и вводные конструкции. Например, вот какие можно использовать в этой части эссе по английскому речевые клише для единого госэкзамена (ЕГЭ).

В этой части следует взглянуть на проблему с другой стороны и сформулировать возможные доводы оппонентов. Здесь предлагаем прибегнуть к следующим фразам и выражениям для эссе на английском.

Мало привести в эссе по английскому примеры «за» и «против», нужно еще и внятно обосновать, почему аргументы «против» для вас неубедительны. Как писать эту часть эссе по английскому? На этот вопрос также предлагает английский язык использовать в сочинении ЕГЭ речевые клише. Рассмотрим примеры.

По сути, в заключительном абзаце мы вновь излагаем свое мнение, только со слегка измененной формулировкой. Например, выпускникам прошлых лет помогали красиво завершить эссе по английскому языку примеры фраз и выражений, приведенных в таблице ниже.

Вот такой у нас получился шаблон по написанию эссе. Согласитесь, с речевыми клише сочинение на ЕГЭ по английскому языку пишется намного легче. Остается только до экзамена выбрать понравившиеся фразы и заучить их наизусть. Но это тоже не так уж и сложно, поскольку до дня сдачи школьникам еще не раз придется испытывать свои силы в написании пробных и тренировочных эссе. Небольшие хитрости по набору нужного объема слов для английского эссе на ЕГЭ

Что ж, речевые клише для написания эссе по английскому языку мы все рассмотрели, но для особо любознательных школьников у нас припасена еще одна хитрость. Как известно, экзаменационные сочинения пишут по строгому регламенту, и, в частности, там есть требование к объемам текста. Для письменного задания на ЕГЭ по английскому 2020 требования остались прежними: сочинение должно укладываться в рамки 200-250 слов. ЕГЭ по английскому 2020 эссе – критерии оценивания, структура, шаблон и пример написания задания, темы и клише

ЕГЭ по английскому 2020 предполагает написание эссе. Это задание № 40, которое подразумевает под собой составление развернутого письменного высказывания с элементами рассуждения. Эссе должно быть написано правильно, чтобы была возможность заработать максимальные 14 баллов, которые очень важны для получения высокой отметки за тестовую работу в целом. Формулировка задания были уточнена. В частности, это касается «Make an introduction (state the problem)», которое превратилось в «Make an introduction (state the problem paraphrasing the given statement)». Сделано это было для того, чтобы экзаменующиеся понимали необходимость перефразирования темы, а не простое ее переписывания.

Нужно оставлять достаточно времени на написание эссе, так как обычно его катастрофически не хватает после выполнения предыдущих сложных заданий. При этом важно помнить обо всех нюансах. Чтобы гарантировать отличный балл, нужно заранее готовиться к эссе, прорабатывая возможную структуру (план), темы и заготавливая клише.

Объем сочинения остался без изменений. Он входит в диапазон от 180 до 275 слов. Опытные учителя говорят о том, что достаточно 200-240 слов. Если написано больше, но нет смысла, а только «вода», то к положительному результату это не приведет. Кстати, если вы напишете больше чем 275 слов, то проверяющие отсчитают первые 275 и выполнят проверку только по ним.

Критерии оценивания задания № 40

Критерии оценивания задания № 40 в 2020-ом году были изменены. В частности, это коснулось такого критерия, как «Решение коммуникативной задачи». В настоящее время уже есть точная информация относительно того, как именно будут насчитываться баллы. Сведения были обнародованы на официальном сайте ФИПИ, а мы продублировали их ниже в таблице.

Совет! Достаточно писать эссе по плану, придерживаться объема и нейтрального стиля оформления. Если опустить эту информацию, то высока вероятность получить по этому критерию ноль баллов, что приводит к обнулению всей работы.

Помните, что есть критерий подсчета слов. Причем при расчете учитываются и слова, и артикли, и частицы, и вспомогательные частицы.При составлении личного письма (такая тема тоже имеется) в расчет следует взять адрес, дату и подпись. Эксперт будет обращать внимание на отдельные детали. В частности, нужно записывать числительные цифрами (например, 25, 126 965, 2020 и т. д.) или цифрами с условными обозначениями (25%, 23% и т. д.). Так они будут считаться за одно слово. Выраженные словами числительные считаются, как и другие слова. Сложные слова (well-bred, twenty-five, good-looking и т. д.) считаются за одно, как и сокращения (USA, CD-rom, e-mail и т. д.).

Кстати, о соблюдении нейтрального стиля изложения эксперты будут судить по отсутствию сокращений и разговорной лексики. Также желательно отказаться от использования риторических вопросов.

Следует знать! Под лексическими ошибками понимают некорректное употребление слов, ошибки в сочетаемости, пропуск слов без причины, ошибки в словообразовании, ошибки во фразовом глаголе, орфографические ошибки, которые приводят к изменению слова.

Под грамматическими ошибками понимаются пропуски слов, если они влияют на структуру предложения, некорректное словообразование, проблемы с грамматикой или порядком слов в предложении. Под пунктуационными и орфографическими ошибками следует понимать любые, которые попадают под эту категорию, а также неразборчивое написание слов или букв.

Структура написания эссе по английскому

Структура написания эссе по английскому очень важна для соблюдения, чтобы можно было получить высокий балл. Помните, что целью составления эссе является показание умения аналитически мыслить и рассуждать на английском языке на различные темы. Другими словами, проверяется уровень владения грамматикой и лексикой, без которых не обойтись в решении поставленных задач.

Структура сочинения предполагает пять обязательных пунктов:

Первая часть – Make an introduction (state the problem), то есть вступление. Здесь нужно перефразировать тему и отобрать два противоположных мнения. Далее в тексте будут приведены размышления в формате «Одни считают, что …, когда другие …». Следование этой простой схеме позволяет облегчить процесс написания и сосредоточиться на проблеме. Кстати, если сложно привести противоположное мнение, то нужно перефразировать проблему, а вторую часть записать, как «… whereas others think that handmade presents are more impressive.», «…, whereas others don’t agree.» или «…, whereas others think that it’s not true.»!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Вторая часть – Express your personal opinion and give 2-3 reasons for your opinion, то есть ваше личное мнение по теме и два-три аргумента в поддержку. Здесь нужно выразить личное мнение, которое должно быть подтверждено аргументами. Лучше всего, если каждое утверждение будет подтверждено примером. Объем этого пункта – примерно шесть предложений. !!!!!!!!!Для того чтобы написанное было более изящным, рационально пользоваться словами-связками.
Третья часть – Express an opposing opinion and give 1-2 reasons for this opposing opinion, то есть мнение оппонентов и один-два аргумента в поддержку. Здесь следует привести противоположное вашему мнение и подобрать к нему аргументы. В принципе, задача простая, так как нет ничего сложного в нахождении хотя бы одного аргумента, который является противоположным вашему. Можно задействовать такие слова и выражения-помощники, как «At the same time there are people who say that» (В то же время есть люди, которые говорят, что), «in contrast» (в отличие от этого, для сравнения, напротив), «in spite of» (не смотря на), «in comparison with» (в сравнении с, по сравнению с), «unlike» (в отличие от), «however» (однако), «yet» (в то же время, при этом, с другой стороны, впрочем), «still» (при этом) и другие.!!!!!!!!!
Четвертая часть – Explain why you don’t agree with the opposing opinion, то есть объяснение относительно того, почему вы не согласны с мнение оппонентов. Цель этого абзаца – нахождение еще одного аргумента в пользу вашей точки зрения. Помните, что нужно рационально подходить к оценке своих сил, то есть, если вы придумали всего три аргумента, то напишите два в первой части и один в этом абзаце. Причем к мнению оппонента нужно относится уважительно.
Пятая часть – Make a conclusion restating your position, то есть заключение, которое должно подтверждать вашу позицию. Здесь следует еще раз кратко выразить свое мнение в качестве итога. Причем писать нужно другими словами, так как простое переписывание темы не приведет к желаемому результату.

Обратите внимание! Первый и последний абзацы сочинения должны быть разными. За идентичность предложений будут снимать баллы.!!!!!!!!!

Помните, что пользоваться сокращениями крайне нежелательно. Например, написать isn’t будет неправильно, лучше – is not. Также не стоит писать don’t или shouldn’t, правильнее – do not или should not. Помимо этого, нежелательно начинать предложения со слов also, but или and. Вводные слова (you know, well и т. д.)!!!!!!! тоже под запретом, как и сленговые (bunch of people придется заменить a lot of people, а stuff – thing). При написании не копируйте родной язык. Выражение мыслей должно быть на английском языке.!!!!!!!!

Прочитайте тему и составьте mind map. Убедитесь в правильности подобранных аргументов.

Составьте эссе на черновике, но, если времени слишком мало, то нужно сразу писать сочинение на чистовик.
Проверьте ошибки и при нахождении исправьте их.
Перепишите эссе на чистовик.

При написании эссе в бланке сначала нужно указать номер задания.!!!!!!! Также помните о том, что с обратной стороны бланка писать нельзя. Именно поэтому, если вдруг что-то не поместится, лучше попросить другой бланк. Если опустить эту рекомендацию, высока вероятность того, что баллы за задание будут аннулированы.

Клише – это вводные фразы, которыми удобно начинать предложение. Но помните, что они никакой смысловой или грамматической роли в предложении не играют. № 39. Оно предполагает под собой написание письма другу по переписке. В задании дана заготовка относительно того, что нужно обязательно включить в текст в виде вопросов от того, кому письмо. Также указано, как зовут вашего друга по переписке. Помимо этого, указано, что нужно составить не менее трех вопросов. Общий объем письма – 100-140 слов.!!!!!!
№ 40 (делится на № 40.1 и № 40.2, из которых нужно выбрать предпочтительную тему). Задание предполагает под собой написание эссе на заданную тему объемом около 200-250 слов. Эссе пишется по четкому плану, который указан в задании. Желательно его придерживаться, чтобы избежать возможных проблем с оцениванием.

Очень важно разобраться с тем, как правильно писать оба задания из раздела «Письмо» на ЕГЭ-2020 в зависимости от их вида. Помните, что правила установлены ФИПИ и уже обнародованы на официальном сайте. Ниже вы найдете подробные рекомендации и наглядные образцы.

Совет! Помните, что с 2020-го года нельзя писать на обратной стороне бланка. Нужно обязательно просить дополнительный лист у организатора экзамена. Если проигнорировать эту рекомендацию, работа может быть аннулирована.

Особенности написания письма в задании № 39

Особенности написания письма в задании № 39 нужно знать каждому выпускнику, чтобы успешно написать ЕГЭ-2020 по английскому языку. Задание «Письмо» является задачей базового уровня сложности. Оно очень похоже на аналогичное из экзамена ОГЭ, но имеются некоторые отличия, среди которых:

другу по переписке нужно задать три вопроса (тема указана в задании);
для ученика 11 класса важно использовать достаточно сложную грамматику и лексику, чтобы получить максимальный балл за задание.!!!!!!!

Нужно выделить не более двадцати минут!!!!! на написание письма ввиду его небольшого размера. Это позволит не потерять драгоценное время, а значит, можно будет успешно сдать и все остальные задания для зарабатывания максимального балла по тестовой работе.

Кстати, за задание № 39 можно получить до 6 баллов. Это несложно, если во время чтения задачи быть внимательным и потренироваться заранее в составлении личного письма на возможные темы. Рационально ознакомиться и с критериями оценивания (о них ниже).

Итак, как писать письмо? Алгоритм следующий:

Внимательно прочитайте задание, посмотрите на указанное имя друга и напишите его в самом начале письма. Как это ни странно, но одна из самых распространенных ошибок – неправильное написание имени (например, указание заученного из готовых вариантов).
Изучите вопросы, приведенные в задании, и продумайте ответы на них. Помните, что вопросы могут быть и коварными, например, в одном скрываться два (например, «Do you like watching films, why?» или «Where and when do you usually go shopping?»). Если на такие вопросы ответить односложно, то результатом станет потеря баллов.!!!!!!!
Далее нужно обратить внимание на тему, по которой следует составить три вопроса. Здесь ученики допускают больше всего ошибок. Они часто обращают внимание на конец письма и задают вопросы по нему, что неправильно. Внимательно читайте задания: там указано, по какой теме следует задавать вопросы.
Теперь составьте письмо целиком, позаботившись о правильном делении его на абзацы. Не забудьте проверить текст на ошибки, уделяя внимания артиклям (часто о них забывают или ставят не те, что нужно), временам (без временного маркера нельзя понять, к какому периоду относится написанное – настоящему, прошлому или будущему), правописанию (иногда из-за спешки ученики заменяют буквы в словах или даже слоги).
Далее нужно подсчитать полученный объем. Он должен быть в диапазоне от 100 до 140 слов.
Осталось переписать письмо в бланк, указав в начале «Задание № 39». Помните, что время нужно организовать так, чтобы вы успели и составить письмо, и переписать его в бланк, и приступить к последнему заданию экзамена – эссе.

Помните! Обязательно нужно переписать письмо в чистовик. Черновики не проверяются экспертами.

Адрес может быть указан или в краткой, или в полной форме. Краткая предполагает просто указания города и страны (см. фото примера ниже). Полная заключается в приведении и страны, и города, и улицы, и номера дома. Ниже нужно указать дату в удобной форме, например, June 4th, 2015, 4 June 2015 или менее формально 04/06/12.

Помните, что нет ничего сложного в написании письма. Если вы переживаете, что не справитесь с заданием, потренируйтесь предварительно, подготовив пару заготовок по каждому из вариантов писем, придерживаясь установленных правил. Как писать эссе по английскому языку в ЕГЭ-2020? Нужно обязательно изучить план (структуру) письменной работы, учитывая формат задания. С 2020-го года в задании № 40 приводится две темы на выбор учеников. Нужно ознакомиться с обоими вариантами и выбрать наиболее предпочтительный для себя. Не тратьте на это много времени, иначе вы попросту не успеете решить все задания.

План написания эссе достаточно прост в выполнении. Он приведен прямо в задании, что удобно для любого ученика. Продублируем его здесь с пояснениями:

Первая часть – Make an introduction (state the problem), то есть вступление. Перефразируйте тему и приведите два мнения – они должны быть противоположными.
Вторая часть – Express your personal opinion and give 2-3 reasons for your opinion, то есть ваше личное мнение по данной теме (одно из тех, которое было приведено выше) и пару аргументов в поддержку. Удобнее всего выражать личное мнение, которое легко аргументировать.
Третья часть – Express an opposing opinion and give 1-2 reasons for this opposing opinion, то есть мнение противоположного характера и пара аргументов в поддержку. Приведите мнение, которое является противоположным вашему. В этом нет ничего сложного, тем более что всегда можно придумать хотя бы один аргумент.
Четвертая часть – Explain why you don’t agree with the opposing opinion, то есть объяснение, почему вы не согласны с мнением оппонента. Постарайтесь расписать все подробно.
Пятая часть – Make a conclusion restating your position, то есть заключение. Оно обязательно должно отражать ваше личное мнение. Не старайтесь просто переписать тему, иначе баллы будут снижены.

Помните, что первый и последний абзацы должны быть разными, несмотря на то, что, по сути, в них нужно написать одно и то же. Опытные учителя рекомендуют пытаться перефразировать тему разными словами. Если же абзацы будут идентичными или схожими, то за это будут снижены баллы.

Для написания эссе удобно пользоваться схемой (mind map), выражая два противоположных мнения и приводя аргументы. После этого нужно еще раз внимательно ознакомиться с подобранными аргументами, написать эссе полностью и вычитать его на ошибки. После этого останется переписать эссе на чистовик. Внимательно следите за временем. Если вы не успеете переписать эссе на чистовик, оно не будет засчитано, так как черновики не проверяются.

Отдельно стоит выделить готовые вводные фразы, или клише. Они упрощают написание эссе, но никакой смысловой нагрузки (исключение – усиление эмоциональности и экспрессивности высказывания) не несут. Если убрать подобные фразы, то на смысле предложения это не отразится. Примеры клише приведены на фото ниже.

Критерии оценивания раздела

Критерии оценивания раздела «Письмо» нужно обязательно знать каждому выпускнику, чтобы правильно выполнить задания и получить высокий балл. Итак, сколько баллов можно получить за задание № 39? Максимум – 6 баллов, особенности оценивания указаны в таблице, приведенной ниже.

Критерии побаллового оценивания задания № 40 из раздела «Письмо» приведены в таблице, расположенной ниже.

Всего за задание № 40 можно получить до 14 баллов. В принципе, достаточно придерживаться общих рекомендаций, не отходить от установленной структуры, не нарушать объем и писать в нейтральном стиле, чтобы получить высокий балл. Причем перед переписыванием эссе в чистовик внимательно проверьте письменную работу на ошибки, так как каждая из них (лексическая, грамматическая, орфографическая, пунктуационная) приводит к снижению баллов.

Помните! При получении отметки «0» за критерий «Решение коммуникативной задачи» по любому из заданий раздела «Письмо» за эту задачу будет выставлено ноль вне зависимости от качества написанного.

Обратите внимание на критерии подсчета слов, которые являются общими для всех заданий из раздела «Письмо». В частности, учитываться будут все слова с первого по последнее, в том числе предлоги, вспомогательные глаголы, частицы, артикли, а также дата, адрес и подпись. Числительные в виде цифр (2020, 25, 189 638 и т. д.), цифр с условными обозначения (99%, 34% и т. д.), сложные слова (English-speaking, good-looking и т. д.), сокращения (e-mail, USA, UK и т. д.) считаются как одно слово. Числительные, написанные словами, считаются по стандартной схеме: сколько слов, такое и количество.

Проверка каждого из заданий раздела «Письмо» осуществляется двумя экспертами, так как эти задачи предполагают развернутый ответ. Если мнения опытных учителей относительно поставленной оценки совпадают, то баллы выставляют в ведомость. Если же нет, то привлекают третьего эксперта, мнение которого по данному вопросу будет решающим.

Our science have changed every year. Nowadays a lot of money is spent on space exploration projects. Many people think that it is not right because this money should be used to solve problems on Earth. Let’s consider both views on this issue.

In my opinion, space exploration is very importand for us because we must know more about universal, planets, stars and meteorits. Scientists haven’t already know all about of them and if they are dangerous for us. Secondly, when scientists studied the sun they discovered new chemestry elements for example gelius. Also when they study the sun they study how our healthe depends from it. Thirdly, we can travel on space and see Earth from space-ship.

People spend a lot of money for this traveling so they give this money for new discovers.

On the other hand, some people who think that space exploration it is a waste of time and money because this money can help people who have very dangerous illnesses. Secondly, goverment can helps spend this money on our education. They can buy new equipmen for school. Thirdly, this money can be used for helping poor countries and people who live in them. This money can help to make their life better.

Критерий К1 – Решение коммуникативной задачи

1.1. Есть ли вступительная часть, в которой сформулирована основная проблема? – Да. Автор изложил суть проблемы иными словами, попытавшись немного видоизменить то, что было предложено в инструкции к заданию, а также изложить актуальность проблемы.

1.2. Насколько автору удалось выразить собственное мнение и подкрепить его объективными доводами? — Автор делится своими убеждениями: «Я думаю, что люди должны читать книги, и лишь после этого смотреть экранизацию». Но аргументация неубедительная. Отсутствует чёткая структура построения, а некоторые доводы и вовсе нельзя назвать аргументами, например: For me, this is the right way.
Автор считает, что с кинематографической версией произведения лучше знакомиться после прочтения печатного варианта, однако его довод не подкрепляется рациональными аргументами.

1.3. Предлагается ли в сочинении альтернативный взгляд, подкреплённый 1-2 аргументами его приверженцев? – Автор не предлагает иной точки зрения. Соответственно, и какие-либо доводы, которые могли бы подкрепить альтернативную версию, отсутствуют.

1.4. Делится ли автор собственными размышлениями относительно своего несогласия с альтернативной точкой зрения и приводит ли контраргументы? — Нет.

1.5. Есть ли заключительная часть с выводом? – Заключительная часть включена в сочинение: In conclusion I want to say that people should read books. And after that if they want, they should watch this film. But reading books it is necessary, for my mind.
Но формулировки весьма размытые. Автор говорит о том, что «нужно читать книги, а затем, если появится желание, смотреть фильм». Ученик не приводит никаких обоснований: имеет ли он в виду какие-либо конкретные произведения или обобщает. В завершение он ещё раз повторяет тот же тезис, но не подкрепляет его объяснениями.

В этом задании коммуникативная проблема решена лишь частично. По первому критерию выставляется 1 балл.

Критерий К2 – Организация сочинения

2.1. Поделён ли текст на абзацы? Соответствует ли деление текста правилам? – Первые три абзаца следовало бы совместить, поскольку автор начинает говорить о преимуществах чтения книг по сравнению с просмотром фильмов, после чего предлагает доводы, подтверждающие этот тезис.

2.2. Применяются средства логической связи? Насколько логично и последовательно изложен текст? – В тексте нарушена последовательность и логичность изложения. Средства логической связи практически не используются. В некоторых фразах допущены ошибки: for my mind (правильно: «to my mind»).

По этому критерию экзаменуемый получает 1 балл.

Критерий К3 – Лексика.

3.1. Насколько правильно подобрана лексика? Соотносится ли она с главной задачей повествования?– Лексика подобрана правильно.

3.2. Насколько обширен лексический запас? Какому уровню соответствует лексика экзаменуемого? – Судя по лексическому наполнению сочинения, ученик обладает весьма скудным словарным запасом.

3.3. Придерживается ли автор правил построения фраз и словосочетаний, верно ли подбирает слова, подходят ли они по контексту и препятствуют ли ошибки пониманию содержания текста? – Автор допускает лексические неточности. Тем не менее, они не искажают смысл текста. Пример: слово «actuality» не подходит по контексту. К тому же нарушены правила построения слов.

По третьему критерию экзаменуемый получает 2 балла.

Критерий К4 – Грамматика.

4.1. Насколько верно подобраны грамматические структуры? Соответствуют ли они общему содержанию сочинения? – В общем, да.

4.2. Что можно сказать о разнообразии применения грамматических средств и уровня их сложности? – В сочинении употребляются однообразные структуры, не соответствующие продвинутому уровню. Допущены ошибки. Причём некоторые из них соответствуют начальному уровню грамматики: this books, more wiser. Тем не менее, на понимание содержания сочинения допущенные ошибки не влияют.

По этому критерию автор получает 1 балл.

Критерий К5 – Орфография и пунктуация.

Допущены орфографические и пунктуационные ошибки. Например: piace, thiks, then. В некоторых местах запятые употреблены неверно.

По этому критерию автор получается 1 балл (из возможных 2).

Оценка за сочинение – 6 баллов.

Как построить четкую аргументацию в эссе по английскому

Мы видели, что оценка за решение коммуникативной задачи выставляется еще и по качеству аргументации (Методические рекомендации организаторам и экспертам ЕГЭ, Вербицкая, Махмурян). То есть, во-первых, не должно быть лишних аргументов не по теме, а во-вторых, они должны быть последовательными и убедительными. То есть полностью решить коммуникативную задачу в эссе на ЕГЭ 2018 вы сможете, если будете грамотно подбирать аргументы и примеры. В этой статье на пример реального эссе я покажу,

как это делать, а пока немного теории.

КАК ПРАВИЛЬНО АРГУМЕНТИРОВАТЬ?

Представим себе аргумент как простую математическую дробь. Есть числитель (наверху), есть знаменатель (внизу). Аргументация всегда строится на том, что сравнивают или противопоставляют два понятия с «общим знаменателем». «Общий знаменатель» это какая-то характеристика, которая будет общей для все понятий, но «числители» будут разные — это то, как эта характеристика выражена.

ПРИМЕР 1

Плавание и бег оба приносят пользу, но плавание развивает все мышцы, а бег — только ноги и связки (польза — «знаменатель», развивает все мышцы / только ноги и связки — «числители»).
Футбол и теннис оба виды спорта, но один командный, а другой — индивидуальный.

В нашем тексте сравним пользу от вложения денег в космические исследования с пользой от того, что их потратят на решение проблем на земле.

«Знаменателем» будут такие характеристики как «время», «количество» / «размер», «вероятность», «расстояние».

время: сейчас / потом, сейчас / раньше
количество: много / мало
размер, масштаб: человек / человечество, большой / маленький
вероятность: точно / неточно
расстояние: близко / далеко

ПРИМЕР 2

Результаты космических исследований еще только возможно принесут пользу в будущем, но зато сразу всем людям населяющим Землю или тем, кто будет переселяться на другие планеты.

Уверенность — неточно (отрицательные характеристики)
Масштаб — все человечество (положительная характеристика)

2. Истратить деньги на земные нужды — значит помочь конкретным больным, и сделать это прямо здесь и сейчас. Или здесь и сейчас организовать образование в бедных странах.

Время — сейчас
Расстояние — здесь,
Уверенность — точно (положительные характеристики)
Масштаб — единичный человек (негативная характеристика)

Это первые мысли, которые автоматически приходят в голову. Те, кто «считает, что деньги надо потратить» на решение земных проблем, ориентируются на положительные характеристики «здесь» «сейчас» и «наверняка«.

Мы можем решить коммуникативную задачу эссе двумя способами: защищать космические исследования или согласиться с их противниками. В зависимости от этого мы и будем выстраивать аргументацию.

ЗАЩИТА ИССЛЕДОВАНИЙ

Усилить положительную характеристику — да, «потом«, да, «далеко«, но зато смотрите как масштабно!
Опровергнуть доводы — показать, что в действительности результаты не «там» и «потом«, а уже «здесь» и «сейчас«.

ПРЕКРАЩЕНИЕ ИССЛЕДОВАНИЙ

Просто согласиться с доводами их противников и привести примеры того, как перенаправление денежных потоков осчастливит всех
В третьем абзаце сказать о пользе исследований так, чтобы было понятно, что это все несерьезно.

В пошаговой инструкции по улучшении эссе из примера мы будем защищать исследования и используем оба приeма аргументации.

Приблизим космос к нам: «открытия уже сейчас используются в медицине». Усилим связь с человеком: cosmic rays + gene mutations. Добавим масштабности: выживание всего человечества против одного больного.

Плохо, что уже 230 слов. То есть практически верхний предел, а нам еще контраргументы писать. Ах да, еще перефразировать надо в первом параграфе. И убрать лишнее про «Our science have changed every year» — в задании нет вопроса о переменах и времени. В этой фразе «знаменатель» — перемены, было против стало. А в вопросе этого нет.
Попутно разнообразим грамматику и лексику, а также улучшим логику текста.

В основной части сочинения все абзацы начинаются с вводного предложения (Topic Sentence) – введения. Далее мысль Topic Sentence развивается и подтверждается.

Объем сочинения должен составлять 200-250 слов. При этом артикль – это тоже слово, поэтому не слишком увлекайтесь с развитием идей, постарайтесь удержаться в заданных рамках.

With each loss of a language comes a loss of a culture, a loss of a way of life that deserves to be protected and treated as valuable. I also believe that leaving one language for communication will greatly reduce the linguistic diversity of our planet, which is the key to our survival. What is more, it will be rather difficult to choose which language to use and it may even lead to wars.

Many people think that if we have only one language, communication will become easier and there will be no need to learn foreign languages. I cannot agree with them because knowledge of foreign languages makes a person educated and well rounded. You cannot broaden your mind if you see the world only from the perspective of your own culture. Besides, people are a lot more helpful if you speak their language.

In conclusion, I would argue that we should try our best to preserve the linguistic diversity of our planet. I think that larger cultures should have a respect for minority languages, but first of all the younger generation must want to preserve their native language.

There are a lot of zoos in the world and millions of people visit them every year. But are zoos harmful or helpful to animals which are caged there?

I strongly believe that we should not keep animals in zoos because captivity is not natural for them and it is a constant stress to a wild animal. Keeping animals in zoos harms them by denying them freedom of movement and association. What is more, zoos are like prisons for animals as they live in small cages and do not get necessary food. In addition, animals become very aggressive and unpredictable as they get older and often attack zoo keepers and other people.

However, most people think that zoos help endangered species survive. But this is not true because most rare animals are extremely difficult to breed in captivity. Besides, in zoos, it is almost impossible to meet the animals’ natural needs. Another argument for keeping animals in zoos is that people learn something new about these animals. Actually, zoos do not teach us much because animals do not act the way they would in the wild. I think we can learn more about animals by watching wildlife programs on TV.

In conclusion, I would argue that zoos do not seem to help endangered species and keeping animals behind bars only for the sake of our entertainment is not quite fair. In my opinion, people must create nature reserves, where wild animals will be able to live in their natural environment.

There is no doubt that the invention of the car changed the world and nowadays we can hardly find a family without a car. Nevertheless, some people are against cars, especially in the centers of big cities.

In my opinion, cars should not be allowed into the city centers as they add to pollution and poison the air we breathe. We must also think about the people who live in the center and suffer from the noise made by cars. Moreover, the streets in the center are usually narrow therefore people are often stuck in traffic for many hours and, as a result, arrive late at their destination. Final-ly, with ho cars in city centers, there would be no need for large ugly car parks, which would allow more space for parks. However, many people believe we would not be able to survive without cars because most of the products for shops and other businesses are transported by cars. Besides, they are afraid that public transport would be overloaded. I am sure it is possible to solve these problems by introducing a reliable high frequency tram service as well as developing the underground. As for goods, we could use electric vehicles for their delivery.

To sum up, I believe that a clean, reliable and environmentally friendly public service would encourage people to use public transport and help smooth the transition to a car-free zone.

Nowadays people spend lots of money in order to go to an English-speaking country to improve their language skills. But is it really the most effective way of learning a language? In my view, studying in a foreign country has certain drawbacks. Firstly, this way is very expensive as the tuition fee for overseas students is rather high. Besides, when you study abroad, you have to adapt to a very different way of life, which can be quite stressful. What is more, English teachers do not speak Russian so if you don’t know English well, you will not understand their explanation.

It is often assumed that it is better to study a language abroad because you can always use it speaking with native speakers. However, I doubt that we will have lots of opportunities to speak abroad as we do not know many people there. It is also believed that Russian teachers are not as qualified as those in England. I totally disagree with this opinion because Russian teachers can compare two languages and explain grammar rules better.

To sum up, I would argue that the best way to learn a language is to study it in your native country because you can always get the necessary help from your teachers. Moreover, today we have lots of opportunities to improve our skills such as communicating with English pen-friends over the Internet. I think that we should travel abroad so as to practise a language but not to study it.

In conclusion, I want to say that learning languages is extremely beneficial and I would like to know different foreign languages. In conclusion, I strongly believe that despite the criticisms by some and the fears of others, the Internet seems to have changed our world to the better and we must try to make the best use of it.

Moreover, if clones have been made, they will obviously have serious psychological problems connected with their unusual birth. Finally, there is no doubt that human cloning will change our perception of what is the value of a human life as we might change from having children to manufacturing them. However, scientists claim that human cloning could be very beneficial as therapeutic cloning could provide stem cells for regenerative medicine and tissues for transplantation. Besides, re-productive cloning will probably give parents who are both infertile an opportunity to have children. I am afraid that this technology is not safe enough to use on humans. It is also possible that clones will age quicker since the cell used in the cloning procedure has already been used in a real life individual.

To sum up, we must question whether human cloning is really worth it when weighed against the problems it raises. From my point of view, human reproductive cloning should be under the tight control of the government and the UN because it is dangerous to interfere with nature and the consequences can be really disastrous.

The latest advances in information technology make people think that schools of the future will use computers instead of printed books. Although electronic books have not been widely accepted yet, they have certain advantages over traditional paper volumes. But will they be able to replace printed books? In my opinion, students will be widely using computers for studying in the future. To begin with, computers can store lots of books in their memory and modern software allows us to find quickly the necessary information. Besides, with the interactive programs on computers studying will be much more exciting. What is more, electronic books will not degrade overtime like their printed counterparts. On the other hand, lots of disbelievers argue that computers will not replace printed books because a printed book is better for human eyes than a computer screen. In addition, books are cheaper and easier to use since they do not need electricity or the Internet connection. I cannot agree with this because modern computer screens emit no radiation and allow us to read even in low light conditions. Of course we will have to pay for electricity but I think it will be cheaper than to pay for printed books, which are very expensive nowadays.

To sum up, I think computers and printed books will peacefully coexist for years to come, but in the future technological progress will make it possible for students to carry laptops or even palmtops instead of traditional bags with lots of heavy books.

However, adults consider computer games a complete waste of time. As for me, I believe computer games are more than mindless entertainment. To begin with, computer games can teach people to achieve their aims as they regularly put obstacles and traps in the way of players which are necessary to overcome in order to progress through the rest of the game. Additionally, computer games can be a valuable source of accidental learning that can be applied to school, home, and social events. Moreover, teachers have also started to appreciate educational games as an opportunity to make their lessons more exciting. Nevertheless, quite a few people are against this activity as they find it rather addictive and harmful for children’s health. They argue that computer games make students neglect their school work. However, if we learn to control our computer use and play games for an hour just to relax after a hard day at school, this will not do us any harm. What is more, modern technology made it possible to eliminate the bad effect of computers on our eyes.

To sum up, I believe that computer games have more advantages than drawbacks. They make us persistent, develop our logical reasoning and help us to escape from everyday problems. The thing is to find a right balance between virtual reality and everyday reality.

Space exploration can mean a major leap for mankind. However, it is often criticized because the price for these space experiments is too high, especially while poverty still exists in many parts of the world. On the one hand, space research is extremely beneficial as it advances technology. As a result of this work, we have lots of inventions, which have made our lives much more comfortable. In addition, through the exploration of space, we could find new elements, minerals or even discover new laws of physics and eventually learn more about ourselves. What is more, space exploration will allow us to establish a human civilization on another planet as a hedge against the catastrophe that might occur on the Earth. On the other hand, the benefits of space exploration are not self-evident, no matter how real they are. It costs billions of dollars to fund the projects of space science whereas this money should rather be spent on meeting the needs of the underprivileged. Besides, some of the technology we develop through space science can be used in a destructive manner if it is in the wrong hands. Finally, a travel to space can be dangerous as we may discover something that is extremely harmful for the living beings on Earth.

To conclude, I want to say that space exploration satisfies the human desire for adventure therefore most people are interested in space research. Nevertheless, I believe our governments should find the right balance between social and space programs.
