В рамках ВПР в 7 классе, да и ранее в программах обучения английскому языку часто встречается задание по описанию картинки. «Ничего сложного!» — скажете вы. А вот и нет! Просто сказать «I see trees so green, red roses too…» — уже недостаточно. Оказывается, есть определённые шаблоны описания картинок, которым следует придерживаться. Об этом ниже.
Шаблон описания картинки на английском
Описание картинки можно схематично представить, как ответы на вопросы:
- Где и когда? (where and when the photo was taken)
- Кто/что? (whatwho is in the photo)
- Какой?
- Что делает и как? (what is happening)
- Ваше отношение к фото
Данные компоненты можно менять местами в зависимости от вашего желания и конкретной картинки. Давайте разберем каждый компонент в отдельности.
Где и когда?
В начале описания неплохо бы рассказать об истории картинки / фото, если вы ее знаете. Когда фотография была сделана? При каких обстоятельствах.
Ответ можно начать следующим образом:
- You know, I am fond of photography and I keep my best photos in my album. Please, have a look at this one. I took this photo last year in Greece. — Вы знаете, я увлекаюсь фотографией и храню свои лучшие фото в альбоме. Пожалуйста, взгляните на этот снимок. Я сделал его в прошлом году в Греции.
Если вы не знаете деталей, то можете предположить:
- It was (probably) taken inside / outside. — Возможно, она сделана в помещении / на улице.
- In this picture the action is taking place in (the house; the living room; the gym; the swimming pool; the theme park etc.). — На этой картинке действие происходит в (доме, зале, спортзале, бассейне, парке и т.д.).
- The photo/picture shows — Фото/картинка показывает.
- It wastaken by/in — Она была сделана. Она была нарисована.
- It’s a black-and-white/coloured photo. — Это черно-белая/цветная картинка.
Кто/что?
Начинаем с основного акцента картинки. Что на первом плане? Что на второстепенном?
- In the picture I can see.. — На картинке я могу видеть…
- There’s / There are — Здесь есть
- In the background you can see — На заднем плане вы можете видеть…
- In the foreground there is … — На переднем плане…
Можно использовать более сложные фразы с предлогами места:
- at the top/bottom of the picture — наверху/внизу картинки
- in the middle of the picture — в середине картинки
- on the left/right of the picture — слева/cправа картинки
- next to — рядом
- in front of — спереди
- behind — сзади
- near — рядом
- on top of — наверху
- under — под
Если что-то непонятно, можно использовать фразы:
- It looks like a — Это выглядит как…
- It might be a — Это возможно…
- Hecouldbe — Он мог бы быть
- Maybe, it’s a — Возможно это…
Какой?
Тут перечисляем все характеристики внешности людей и свойства предметов, изображенных на картинке.
- The girl / boy looks like she/he is about … years old. — Девочке / мальчику около … лет.
- She / he has … eyes and dark / fair hair — У неё / него … глаза и тёмные / светлые волосы.
- The girl / boy is wearing … — Девочка / мальчик одет в …
- I guess she / he is quiet and kind. — Мне кажется, что она / он спокойный и добрый.
Описание одежды можно скомбинировать с описание погоды.
- It looks like a sunny day outside. — Похоже, на улице солнечный день.
- I don’t think it’s very warm though. They both are wearing thick sweaters. — Хотя не думаю, что здесь очень тепло. На них обоих толстые свитера.
- It’s sunny though I can see their shadows on the ground. — Солнечно, хотя я вижу их тени на земле.
- I think it must be warm weather. — Думаю, сейчас теплая погода.
- The sun’s shining. — Светит солнце.
- The gold court looks very green. — Золотой двор выглядит очень зеленым.

Что делает и как?
Все действия описываем во времени Present Continuous:
- The man is …smiling.- Мужчина улыбается.
- The people are …working. — Люди работают.
- It’s raining. — Идет дождь
- Looking at these people / this girl / this boy I get the impression that they are/ she is / he is … (having dinner; watching a film; doing their homework etc.) — Глядя на этих людей/эту девочку/этого мальчика создаётся впечатление, что они/она/он… (смотрит фильм, делает домашнюю работу и т.д.).
Ваше отношение к фото
- I like the picture because the atmosphere is peaceful. — Мне понравилось картинка, потому что атмосфера дружелюбная.
- I like this picture as it is bright and colorful, full of positive emotions, and it makes me think of summer / winter / autumn / spring. — Мне понравилось картинка, потому что она яркая и красочная, полна позитивных эмоций, и напоминает мне лето, зиму, осень, весну и т.д.
Примеры описания картинки / фото на английском
Вариант 1
In this picture I see a young woman lying on the grass, smiling and listening to music with headphones.
She seems to be in her early twenties. She’s got long blond hair and a charming smile. She’s wearing a white T-shirt. She could be listening to some energetic rock music, because she looks happy and engaged. Maybe she is listening to the best album of her favourite singer and is singing along. By the way, it can be even not music at all. She could be listening to a humorous audiobook that makes her smile. She may be listening to an audiocourse, learning a foreign language and trying to repeat the phrase after the speaker.
I can see an engagement ring on her finger. Perhaps she has just got engaged and is trying to choose the song for the first dance with her fiancé during the wedding ceremony. I know how hard it can be because I’m getting married in August and I’ve been listening to various songs, trying to choose those to be played on my wedding day. I fall asleep with my headphones on and spend my working hours in a similar pair of headphones, not to irritate my fellow-workers with my music.

This picture shows a seaside resort in summer. The weather is hot that’s why the beach is full of people. There are no clouds in the sky and it looks light blue. Аs for the sea, it is a bit rough, I can see the waves, so the light wind is probably blowing.
In the foreground just a bit to the right there is a big merry-go-round. I can guess that a lot of children are riding horses there. They may be laughing, shouting, in other words, they are having fun.
Another kind of attraction is situated to the left of the first one. It looks smaller and at first sight you can suppose that it is a merry-go-round, too. But if you look closer, you can see that it might be a kiosk with some food or souvenirs because people are standing around probably looking for something to buy.
The beach is very crowded. The people are lying on the sand and swimming in the sea. In the background I can make out the outline of a white pier which stands out against the blue sky.
As for me, I enjoyed a lot describing this cheerful picture. This sunny beach makes me feel optimistic because in a few weeks I hope I will be enjoying swimming in the sea, too.

In the middle of the picture, we can see a girl and her grandmother. The woman is wearing glasses and has gray hair. She hasn’t received a gift yet, she is giving a big box to a boy, sitting next to her. He is looking gratefully at his granny.
His parents on the right side are looking into each other’s eyes and smiling.
The girl is opening her gift box and seems to be very excited to see what is inside.
On the left, there is a man, probably a husband of the older woman. He is waiting for his turn to give his present.
All people are wearing light-colored clothes on top. The men are standing, the rest are sitting on a cozy sofa in a spacious, light room.
Everybody seems to be happy and enjoy the family moment.

Описание картинки в ЕГЭ
Описание картинки для ЕГЭ по сути мало чем отличается от шаблона выше. Единственное, дополнительно могут стоять вопросы про личное отношение к фото, почему вы его выбрали и т.п.
Вот несколько вариантов описания фото для ЕГЭ по английскому языку.
Вариант 1
Well, I have chosen photo number 1. Look at this. I took it last year when I have a big holiday with my friends in Phuket. In the picture you can see a very popular beach Nai Harn. There is clear blue water, green mountains and yellow sand. There we walked with my friends Anna and Viktor and enjoyed such a sunny and hot day. I decided to take this photo because it is a really wonderful place for me. I wanted to keep this time in my memory. I would like to show you this picture because I know that you like sea and beautiful beaches. Maybe it will inspire you to go to Phuket. That’s all I wanted to say.

You know that I am a regular traveler. From time to time, I visit exotic countries where I usually go windsurfing, diving, and the like.
Well, this photo I took last year when I was on my holidays in Vietnam. That was a wonderful trip full of extreme actions and unforgettable experience. During my trip I was taking lots of pictures, but this one is my favorite.
You can see wonderful yellow fish in the foreground of this photo. In the background you can see rocks of various size and shape.
Actually, nothing much is happening in the photo. Some fish are swimming by in the depth of the see. Besides, the sun is trying to shine through but only some specks of light can be seen.
Why do I keep this photo in my album? Well, I have a lot of pictures from underwater but this one is special. The fish look very unusual and admirable, and I keep this photo as a striking demonstration of diversity and uniqueness of sea life.
I decided to show the picture to you because I’d like to share my impressions from diving with you. I want you to see how beautiful the bottom of the sea may be and what unusual things you are faced there with.
Well, I hope you understand my feelings and how much I’m into traveling and diving. By the way, next year I am going to visit Vietnam one more time. Don’t you want to join me? If yes, then we will discuss everything next time. Now we have to go to school.

In this picture my father is sitting on his knee while I am standing. We are holding the fish we caught several minutes before. The sun is shining so brightly that my father is wearing sunglasses.
I decided to keep this photo so that I could remember that amazing weekend and that great experience. I can open it and remember every detail of it any time I want.
So as you are choosing what to do on the forthcoming weekend, I decided to show you this picture. Maybe you will be inspired to do something like that. That is all I wanted to say.

Описание картинок на английском языке на ЕГЭ — одно из тех заданий, к которому нужно долго и тщательно готовиться. Конечно, вам может показаться, что здесь все максимально просто, но в действительности неподготовленный студент может попасть в типичные ловушки этой части теста.

Поэтому сегодня я хочу подробно с вами обсудить план этого задания, для чего его придумали, а также дам вам парочку показательных примеров, на которые можно будет опираться.

Что это и зачем придумали?
Описание картинок — третье задание в устной части теста. Здесь проверяются ваши способности быстро формулировать монолог длиною в 2 минуты по существующему плану. Кроме того, проверяется ваш грамматический и лексический уровень, а также умение вести неподготовленную речь. Данное задание считается одним из самых легких в устной части, особенно если ставить его рядом со сравнением картинок.
План действий
Первичная формулировка задания в 2020 году будет звучать следующим образом.
Представьте, что эти фотографии взяты из вашего фотоальбома. Выберите одно фото, чтобы рассказать о нем вашему другу. Вы начнете через 1.5 минуты, и должны будете говорить не более 2 минут.
А сейчас обратите внимание, что у вас есть целых 1.5 минуты, чтобы уже внимательно рассмотреть картинки, составить себе план ответа и даже вспомнить все слова, которые вы можете забыть во время ответа. Поверьте, эти 1.5 минуты дают вам нереальную фору.
После этой формулировки у вас есть небольшой план, по которому вы и описываете картинки. Он не меняется, поэтому уже сейчас вы можете начинать готовиться и запоминать его.
- Где и когда была снята эта фотография.
1-2 предложений для этой части будет достаточно.
- Кто или что изображено на этой фотографии.
Здесь также можно не очень сильно заострять внимание. Хватит и 2-3 предложений.
- Что на ней происходит.
Самая объемная часть ответа, где вы можете проявить себя. Рассказывайте все, что можете в этой части, но помните про время!
- Почему ты хранишь эту фотографию в своем альбоме.
Здесь ответы могут различаться у каждого человека, но в основе их может лежать фраза «to recall good memories».
- Почему ты показываешь эту фотографию своему другу.
В отличие от других частей плана, здесь вы можете просто заранее придумать пару готовых предложений, а за те самые 1.5 минуты просто проверить, подойдут ли они.
Полезные фразы в помощь
Well… — Ладно. — Если вы не знаете, с чего начать, говорите это слово. Оно даст вам фору в 1—2 секунды.
In the photo … — На фотографии…
I took this picture… when/because —Я сделал этот снимок… когда/потому что…
In the foreground/background of the picture… — На переднем/заднем плане картинки…

Сегодня я хочу вам дать образец, запомнив который вы сможете без каких-либо сложностей справляться с этим заданием. Также я покажу вам примеры, как лучше всего отвечать на этом задании.
Первое, что я делаю — это оцениваю, на какую из фотографий я могу говорить больше всего, где я могу использовать свои лексические знания максимально эффективно.
Итак, начнем! Аудио запись также прикрепляю.
- I have chosen the first photo. (Начинать с этой фразы лучше всего. У вас появляются лишние три секунды, а экзаменатору сразу становится понятно, что вы будете описывать.)
- I took this photo when we were having a family dinner at my grandparents’ house last winter. That is how we usually spend weekends during the winter time so I have at least a dozen other similar photos.
- In this photo you can see all my brothers and sisters, and my grandparents as well. They look happy as the dinner has already started and it is absolutely delicious. There is lots of food, the room is dimply lit and atmosphere is very cozy.
- As I have already mentioned, we are having dinner in this picture. What is more, we are talking, discussing some school issues and having fun. Well, it is not shown in the picture, but I had taken it a few seconds before mother brought in a delicious turkey.
- The reason why I keep this photo is because I really love my family and I adore such evenings. We gather together, share some school stories and enjoy ourselves. Another reason for keeping the photo is the opportunity of recollecting those memories any time I need it.
- I wanted to share this picture with you because as far as I know you are going to have some family weekend soon, so I would like to remind you how important and pleasant it is to keep such sweet memories.
- That is all I wanted to say. (Не забудьте про эту фразу, ведь ею вы показываете экзаменатору, что ваш монолог окончен).

- In this picture my father is sitting on his knee while I am standing. We are holding the fish we caught several minutes before. The sun is shining so brightly that my father is wearing sunglasses.
- I decided to keep this photo so that I could remember that amazing weekend and that great experience. I can open it and remember every detail of it any time I want.
- So as you are choosing what to do on the forthcoming weekend, I decided to show you this picture. Maybe you will be inspired to do something like that.
- That is all I wanted to say .

Из этой статьи вы узнаете, как подготовиться к устной части ЕГЭ по английскому языку в новом формате, который был введен в действие с 2015 года.
ЕГЭ по английскому языку (устная часть)
Начиная с 2015 года устная часть ЕГЭ по английскому языку изменилась и включает в себя 4 задания:
- С1 — чтение вслух (1 балл, базовый уровень)
- С2 — задать вопросы (5 баллов, базовый уровень)
- С3 — описание картинки (7 баллов, базовый уровень)
- С4 — сравнение картинок (7 баллов, повышенный уровень сложности)
Итого: 20 баллов.
Содержание:
- Подготовка к заданию С1 (чтение текста)
- <span «>Подготовка к заданию С2 (вопросы по ситуации)
- Подготовка к заданию С3 (описание фотографии)
- Подготовка к заданию С4 (сравнение двух фотографий, разбор ошибок)
Задание базового уровня — С1
Задание С1 — это чтение вслух фрагмента информационного, научно-популярного или стилистически-нейтрального текста. В тексте задания красным подчеркнуто, что сначала вы читаете текст ПРО СЕБЯ (на это отводится 1,5 мин), а потом уже вслух (надо тоже уложится в 1,5 мин). За это задание дается всего 1 балл.
Критерии оценивания задания «Чтение текста вслух».

Задание базового уровня — С2
Задание С2 — условный диалог-распрос с опорой на вербальную ситуацию и фотографию (картинку). 5 баллов за 5 правильно заданных вопросов.
Внимание! Вопросами не являются выражения:

Варианты вопросов:
- From what age can children take part in a bicycle trip?
- Do they need a special preparation for a trip beforehand?
- How many people are there in a group?
- Do you provide an accomodation for a night?
- How long does the trip last?/ What is the duration of the trip?

Описание фотографии на английском языке (ЕГЭ устная часть, задание С3)
Одним из важным моментов устного экзамена является умение описать фотографию на английском языке. Вот пример стандартного описания картинки (фото), где вы найдете необходимую лексику и грамматические конструкции.
Но дело в том, что на ЕГЭ нужно описать фотографию особым образом, и к тому же сделать это за отведенное время, ничего не упустив, чтобы не потерять баллы. Читайте об этом ниже.
Примерное описание фотографии (ЕГЭ, задание С3) по опциям дается ниже:
Task 3. Imagine that you are showing your photo album to your friend. Choose one photo to present to your friend.You will have to start speaking in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more than 2 minutes. You have to talk continuously. In your talk remember to speak about:
- when you took the photo — когда вы сделали этот снимок (1)
- what/who is in the photo — что или кто изображен на фотографии (2)
- what is happening — что происходит в момент, когда был сделан снимок (3)
- why you took the photo — почему вы сделали этот снимок (4)
- why you decided to show the picture to your friend — почему вы решили показать эту фотографию своему другу (5)
Предположим вы выбрали эту фотографию из трех предложенных (фото взято с сайта ФИПИ). Помните, что говорить нужно не делая паузы (You have to talk continuously) и не более 2 минут (not more than 2 minutes).
Экзамен ЕГЭ по английскому языку с 2015 года проводится в компьютеризированной форме, то есть без участия экзаменатора собеседника. Поэтому вступительные фразы Hello, how are things? и Look here, I would like you to have a look at this photo. можно опустить и сразу приступить к делу.
Введение: (0) Well, I have chosen to show you photo number 2. (Это ваша первая фраза. Она нужна для экзаменатора). Look at this photo.
(1) I took it a month ago when I was going on an excursion with my classmates. I remember that day very well.
(2) In this photo you can see our bus driver. As you see, he looks very friendly. We have made friends with him.
(3) We were going to the State Darwin Museum and on the way he told us a lot of facts about wildlife. By the way, he is from the northern part of Russia.
(4) Well, at that time I was doing a project on my future profession. That is why I took the photo. I have already had a lot of pictures of different people. And, you know, when I was a boy, I wanted to be a driver, too. So, I decided that it was not a bad idea to use that photo in my project.
(5) A job of a driver seems to me rather boring now but I would like to show you this photo as he is a very well-read and interesting person. Besides, I believe he likes his job. You know, there is a saying «Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life». (в заключение, вы приводите известное изречение китайского философа Конфуция).
(6) That’s all I wanted to say. (заключительная фраза)
Всего 12-15 фраз. В приведенном выше описании фраз больше, но не надо зацикливаться на количестве фраз. Просто надо уложиться в 2 минуты.

ВАЖНО:
1. В этом задании надо будет немного пофантазировать, то есть придумать ситуацию к фотографии.
2. При описании Вы можете использовать разные времена.
3. В данном задании 5 опций (пунктов плана). Каждую опцию надо раскрыть, сказав В СРЕДНЕМ по 3 предложения.
4. Слова-связки и союзы в этом описании подчеркнуты, они делают ваше описание более естественным и связным (логичным), обратите на них внимание.
5. Вы можете самостоятельно переделать или сократить данное описание, так как оно специально дано в максимальном объеме. Однако вы должны оставить слова-связки (3-4), а также подчеркнутые выражения, так как они являются основными в вашем ответе и соответствуют опциям задания. Примерное сравнение фотографий (ЕГЭ, задание С4) по опциям дается ниже:
Task 4. Study the two photographs. In 1.5 minutes be ready to compare and contrast the photographs:
- give a brief description (action, location) — кратко опишите действие и место
- say what the pictures have in common — что общего между двумя фотографиями
- say in what way the pictures are different — чем они отличаются
- say which kind of life you’d prefer for wild animals — какая из фотографий тебе больше нравится (это общий смысл опции, так как ее дословный перевод может отличаться в зависимости от темы)
- explain why — объясните, почему вы так думаете
You will speak for not more than 2 minutes. You have to talk continuously.

Теперь давайте сравним эти две фотографии и, на приведенном ниже ОШИБОЧНОМ примере, разберем как же все-таки ПРАВИЛЬНО сравнивать фотографии на экзамене (задание С4)!
Well, both pictures show an animal, the bear. I would like to start with the first picture that shows a big polar bear in the zoo. The bear is sitting on a stone with its paws up. It is not looking at people, it looks aside and it seems that it is tired of so much attention. A lot of people have gathered near the open-air cage, taking pictures. As the people are wearing warm coats and caps, it is probably late autumn. The colours in this picture are grey and dark. (Это описание нужно ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО сократить, оно ИЗБЫТОЧНОЕ.)
As for the second picture, it also shows a bear, but it is a brown bear. It is completely different from the first one as it shows the bear in the wild. In contrast to the first picture, the second one is full of bright colours: yellow flowers, green grass. It shows a summer day. The bear is busy, it is carrying a log. I like this picture more and not only because I like summer but also because I believe that keeping wild animals in zoos is inhuman. Although some people say that it is necessary for some educational purposes, to say nothing of entertainment.
All in all, both pictures make me think of wildlife. As for me, I am sure that wild animals should live free in their natural habitat because they are part of nature.

→ Это предложение можно считать введением, которое говорит о том, что ваше описание адресно, т.е. перед вами находится ваш друг (например, его зовут Джон), вы к нему обращаетесь, желая продемонстрировать выбранную фотографию.
I took it in England last summer while visiting my friend whose name is Nick. He works as a bus driver, so I took this picture the moment he was just doing his job. – Я сделал это фотографию в Англии прошлым летом, когда навещал своего друга по имени Ник. Он работает водителем автобуса, и я сделал это фото как в тот момент, когда он занимался своей работой.
→ Этим предложением вы раскрываете самый первый пункт плана, в соответствии с которым вы должны назвать место и время съемки.
As I have just mentioned, you can see my friend Nick sitting at the wheel of his bus. Nick is a nice guy. He has short brown hair, fine figure, and he is a strong man. He is dressed in his favourite white T-shirt and blue jeans. His driver’s cabin is full of various indicators, buttons and levers. – Как я только что упомянул, на фото ты видишь моего друга Ника за рулем управления автобусом. Ник симпатичный парень. → Это предложение соответствует второму пункту плана, соответственно которому вы должны описать объекты на фотографии. Для успешного раскрытия этого пункта стоит выучить описание внешности людей.
Actually, not much is happening in the photo. Nick has just taken his place in the driver’s cabin. He is getting ready to start the engine. Nick is holding the wheel of his bus, looking and smiling at me. Honestly, that was me who asked him to turn around and look at me, because at that time I was on the point of taking the picture. – Собственно говоря, на фото мало действий. Ник только что занял свое место в водительской кабине. Он готовится завести двигатель. Ник держит руль управления автобусом, смотря в мою сторону и улыбаясь. Честно говоря, именно я попросил его повернуться ко мне, потому что в тот момент я был готов сделать фото.
→ В данных предложениях вы раскрываете третий пункт плана, который нацеливает вас на описание действий на фотографии. Обратите внимание на то, что в этом отрезке вашего высказывания преобладает настоящее продолженное время, потому что все действия представляются как бы происходящими здесь и сейчас.
I have many photos demonstrating Nick in everyday situations but this is the only picture showing Nick doing his job. So, from this perspective, this is a unique photo. That’s why I keep it in my album. – У меня много фотографий с Ником в повседневных ситуациях, но это единственное фото, где Ник за своей работой. Так что с этой точки зрения, эта фотография уникальна. Вот почему я храню ее в своем альбоме.
→ На самом деле этот пункт плана чрезвычайно легкий, так как очень шаблонный. Действительно, почему человек может хранить ту или иную фотографию? Look at this picture, Mike. It shows my aunt Victoria who married an English businessman and moved to England five years ago. We haven’t lost our contacts, and sometimes I come to see her there.
I took this picture last summer in Victoria’s study. You know, she is a pretty woman, very clever, and kind. Her hair is red and curly. Victoria is short-sighted and has to wear glasses. Besides, in this picture you can see a table with so many dictionaries on it. Victoria has always wanted to be a teacher of foreign languages, so she can’t do without dictionaries and other books.
Actually, not much is happening in the photo. Victoria is looking and smiling at me. She is having a pen, and a sheet of paper. I guess, my aunt is preparing for a lesson. Maybe she is writing some vocabulary out of the dictionaries or making some tests for her students. Victoria is a very inventive teacher, and she cares for her students very much.
Why do I keep this photo in my album? Well, I have a lot of ordinary photos of my aunt. But this one is out of the ordinary. Victoria is really distinguished-looking here. That’s why I decided to keep this photo.

Mike, you know that I am a regular traveler. From time to time, I visit exotic countries where I usually go windsurfing, diving, and the like.
Well, this photo I took last year when I was on my holidays in Vietnam. That was a wonderful trip full of extreme actions and unforgettable experience. During my trip I was taking lots of pictures, but this one is my favorite.
You can see wonderful yellow fish in the foreground of this photo. In the background you can see rocks of various size and shape.
Actually, nothing much is happening in the photo. Some fish are swimming by in the depth of the see. Besides, the sun is trying to shine through but only some specks of light can be seen.
Why do I keep this photo in my album? Well, I have a lot of pictures from underwater but this one is special. The fish look very unusual and admirable, and I keep this photo as a striking demonstration of diversity and uniqueness of sea life.
I decided to show the picture to you because I’d like to share my impressions from diving with you. I want you to see how beautiful the bottom of the sea may be and what unusual things you are faced there with.
Well, I hope you understand my feelings and how much I’m into traveling and diving. By the way, next year I am going to visit Vietnam one more time. Don’t you want to join me? If yes, then we will discuss everything next time. Now we have to go to school.

Look at this picture, Jack. I would like to show you my sister whose name is Julia. She is a young lady who likes keeping fit very much. She goes to a gym almost every day to do her physical exercises.
Well, I took this photo last month when I dropped in her gym on my way home. She was right in the middle of her training when I saw her. I had never seen my sister doing intensive physical exercises so I decided to take the photo. In the background there are some other girls who are training themselves together with my sister. Besides, you can see some sports equipment, which is being used by the girls.
You know, my sister is a willing trainee so she always puts a lot of effort to do exercises properly. In this photo you see how Julia is holding her dumbbells and keeping her left leg up. All her mates are doing the same. Look at the girls! They are so focused on what they are doing.
Why do I keep this photo in my album? You know, I don’t have any photos of my sister working out so hard. This is the only one that’s why I keep it in my album.
I decided to show this picture to you to prove the fact that my sister is a sporty girl, and she takes her fitness class seriously. Well, I have other photos of Julia, but I will show them to you next time. We have to leave for school now.

Jack, you know that I like taking photos very much. Whenever I am faced with a significant event or a remarkable person, I activate my camera and make videos or take pictures.
As to this picture, I took it last year during New Year’s Day, which was celebrated on grand scale in the city park.
Well, you see Santa Claus in this picture. In Russia, we name him Grandfather Frost. He is a fairy-tale character who is indispensable in any celebration of New Year’s Day. In the background, you see some children who are singing and dancing in a ring. In the distance some fir-trees can also be seen.
Grandfather Frost is the highlight of the celebration. He is standing in front holding his big magic staff and greeting all the people around. As I have already mentioned above, there are some people who are singing and dancing with pleasure and excitement. By all appearance, all participants of the celebration are having a good time.
Why do I keep this photo in my album? Frankly speaking, I had never seen such impressive magnificent Grandfather Frost. He seemed so real that I couldn’t help taking the picture of him. I keep this photo as one of the most unusual I have ever taken with my camera.
I decided to show this picture to you because I want to share my impressions with you. Now you see how merry New Year’s Day was last year. I hope you will join me next time without fail.

Look here, Mike! I would like to show you a picture with one of my best frends. His name is John. He is a handsome man who is married to a pretty woman and has a lovely daughter. He lives in England but sometimes comes to Russia to see me.
Well, I took this photo last summer when John and his family were staying with me during their trip to Russia. Frankly speaking, their visit was unexpected, yet I was overexcited to have guests.
In the photo you can see my friend John, his wife Julia, and his daughter Mary. They love each other very much, that’s why they wanted to be photographed all together.
They all are sitting on the sofa looking and smiling at me. John is embracing his wife and daughter showing that he is a devoted husband and father. By all appearance, all the people are very happy.
Why do I keep this photo in my album? You know, I had never seen John’s family all together before. So that was my first time I met and received them at my place. I was so charmed by such harmonious family that I just couldn’t help taking some photos. I keep this one as the best example of happy family relationships.

Jack, I would like to show you one special photo. This photo was taken in February when I was on a school skiing trip to Sochi.
The photo shows me and my best friend, Maria. We’re both sitting in the snow and smiling at the camera. Behind us you can see lots of snow and some tall trees with snow on the branches. The sky is grey and it is very cold outside.
We had been skiing all day and decided to take a quick break to take a photo. Our skis are in the snow next to us and we are wearing warm, colourful clothing and helmets. I am wearing a green jacket and light green trousers. Maria is wearing a pink jacket and blue trousers.
We asked another classmate of ours to take the picture, so that we would have something to remind us of the brilliant day.
I decided to show you this photo because it shows what a good time we had on that trip. I will always remember how beautiful the mountains were and how much fun we had.

Jack, I would like to show you one special photo. I took this photo last year. It was when my history class went on a field trip to the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow.
The photo shows my class looking at some statues in one of the large halls. The walls are red and you can see statues standing around the side of the room. There are also examples of art on the walls.
In the photo, we are gathered in front of a black statue listening to my history teacher as he explained where it was from and what it was for. I took the photo because my teacher had asked me to photograph the day so we could put pictures of our trip on the school website. Unfortunately, this means I am not in the photo.
I kept a copy of the photo because I liked the colours in it. I also thought it would be a nice way to remember a fun trip.
I decided to show you this photo because I thought you would like to see what the inside of the Pushkin Museum looks like.

Jack, I would like to show you one special photo. This photo was taken when I went on a school geography trip to St. Petersburg for a week. It was two months ago.
The photo shows me sitting in front of a large, beautiful building. I am wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a rucksack. The building behind me is yellow and the sky is blue because it was a warm, sunny day.
I am holding a map because my friend and I had gotten lost. We were walking around the city and didn’t know where we were, so we stopped to sit down and look for directions. We needed to get to the town hall but we were in the wrong place.
I keep this photo because I would like to post it on my blog. You know, I write about my daily life on the Internet for my friends and family to read, and this photo will be a good illustration of my trip.
I decided to show this picture to you because it reminds me of a fun holiday.
