Задание 38 в письменной части ЕГЭ занудно называется “развёрнутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения на основе таблицы/диаграммы” и является заданием повышенного уровня сложности (B2). Но я его дальше буду именовать просто “проект”. Не таблицы и не графики, и с Writing task 1 на IELTS это задание почти не имеет общего. Period
Вот как эта тварь будет выглядеть на экзамене:

Да, или-или. Потому что ученику нужно будет выбрать, какое задание он захочет делать, и написать перед описанием проекта соответствующую цифру в бланке – 38.1 или 38.2.
Проект – задание вкусное, потому что может принести 14 баллов на экзамене. И если письмо (задание 37) рекомендую писать сразу на чистовик, чтобы сэкономить время, то проект лучше распланировать и написать сначала на черновик, а потом перенести в бланк ответов.
Рекомендуемое время написания задания 38 на экзамене – 60 минут.

Критерии оценивания
Чтобы понять, как писать нужно, ознакомимся с критериями оценивания задания 38 с сайта ФИПИ.
Разберем подробнее.
Решение коммуникативной задачи
По критерию “решение коммуникативной задачи” можно максимум получить 3 балла. Расшифрую, за что их дают:
- Проект написано в соответствии с темой
- Проект написан по плану
- Все пункты из таблицы указаны в работе
- В нём достаточно слов
- Стиль нейтральный
Количество слов, необходимое для получения максимального балла, указано в самом задании – “Write 200-250 words”. Допустимо отклонение от заданного объема на 10%. То есть, можно написать от 180 до 275 слов. Если напишите меньше 180 слов, задание проверять не будут – эксперт поставит 0 за решение коммуникативной задачи, а 0 за этот пункт означает 0 за все задание 38. И довольный учитель проверяет на 1 сочинение меньше. А если ученик превысит порог в 275 слов, эксперт отчеркнет 250-е слово и дальше просто проверять не будет. То есть, если за 250 словами остались контраргументы или заключение, они просто не будут засчитаны и максимум за этот критерий вам не видать.
Про критерии подсчета слов. При определении соответствия объёма представленной работы вышеуказанным требованиям считаются все слова, с первого слова по последнее, включая вспомогательные глаголы, предлоги, артикли, частицы. При этом:
числительные, выраженные цифрами, т.е. 1, 25, 2009, 126 204 и т.п., считаются как одно слово;
числительные, выраженные цифрами, вместе с условным обозначением процентов, т.е. 25%, 100% и т.п., считаются как одно слово;
числительные, выраженные словами, считаются как слова;
сложные слова, такие как good-looking, well-bred, English-speaking, twenty-five, считаются как одно слово;
сокращения, например USA, e-mail, TV, CD-rom, считаются как одно слово.
Нейтральный стиль соблюден, если в задании 38 нет сокращений (I’m sure/ doesn’t matter/ wasn’t stated) и разговорной лексики (it is stupid to think so/ this opinion sucks/ the people wearing such clothes are mad). Нельзя писать риторические вопросы и фразы типа “Let’s consider … “, потому что ФИПИ относит их к разговорному стилю.
Организация текста
Максимум по этому критерию – также 3 балла. Их можно получить если:
- проект правильно разделен на абзацы
- написано логично и присутствуют средства логической связи
Понятно, что нужно писать столько абзацев, сколько есть в плане (пять!) и каждый должен передавать мыслю, соответствующую пункту плана.
Ниже подробнее о том, что нужно писать в этих пяти абзацах и какие клише там использовать.
Вступление (параграф №1)
“Правильное” вступление состоит из 2-3 предложений и знакомит нас с проблемой, указанной в самом задании. Например, в примере нашего задания написано “what book genres are popular among teenagers”. Значит, нам нужно или вставить эту фразу в наш проект, или заменить там что-то на синонимы. Так же нужно упомянуть, что вы делаете проект, нашли материалы к нему и сейчас про это будете рассказывать. Вот, какое вступление получилось у меня:
It is hard to deny the importance of having a good rest. I have decided to do a project on how teenagers in Zetland relax after a busy day and found the results of opinion polls which you can find in the table.
Жирным выделены фразы, которые можно таскать из сочинения в сочинение.

Основные фичи графика (параграф №2)
В плане сочинения во втором абзаце ученику предлагается высказать указать 2-3 главных факта из таблицы/графика или что там нам нужно проанализировать. Я бы остановилась на двух фактах, потому что когда пробовала написать это письменное задание, у меня с двумя фактами вышло 260 слов. Третий бы мог меня вывезти за лимит возможных слов. Но вы можете упомянуть и 3 главных факта, главное – уложиться в необходимое количество слов.
На самом деле, этот абзац написать совсем не сложно – выбираете что угодно, что вам нравится в таблице и записываете английскими словами. Ничего сравнивать здесь не надо.
Вот то, что у меня получилось:
As we can see from the table, 38% of respondents prefer doing a hobby after a busy day, while eating tasty food is the least popular way of spending teenagers’ free time with only 6 % of teenagers doing it. Also, adolescents can spend time with their friends, sleep and walk in the open air to have a rest after a tiring day.

Сравнения (параграф №3)
В 3 абзаце нужно проанализировать данные из графика и представить 1-2 сравнения и свои комментарии к ним. Можно и 1, можно и 2 – все зависит от ваших идей и количества написанных слов.
НЕТ СВЯЗИ между тем, сколько вы фактов выделяли во 2-м абзаце и количеством сравнений в 3-м. Можно делать по-разному, главное – вписаться в план и лимит слов.
Сравниваем ЛЮБЫЕ черты, которые вам понравились в графике. Вот что получилось у меня:
Looking at the figures in the table, we can see that spending time with friends (noted by 31% of respondents) is almost twice as popular as sleeping, which stands at 15%, and almost three times more popular than walking in the open air (noted by 10 % of respondents). It is not surprising as teenagers need communication to develop their personality.
Тут, как и во втором параграфе, нет единственно правильного ответа. Пишите про то, что вам кажется логичным.
Сюда отлично впишутся разные сравнительные структуры:
- in comparison/ in contrast, …
- on the other hand …/ However, … / Likewise, …
- not as … as
- more popular … than
- while/ whereas / although / but
И фразы для комментариев:
- , which is not surprising as …
- This can be explained by the fact that …
- The main reason for that might be the fact that …
Проблема + решение (параграф №4)
Эта часть письменного задания будет самой объемной, потому что нужно указать проблему, связанную с темой проекта, и предложить её решение. Это может быть ЛЮБАЯ проблема по теме задания. В нашем примере она не обязательна связана именно с подростками, главное – она должна быть про чтение.
Кстати, об этом говорит сама Вербицкая вот здесь (около 26 минуты в видео).
Еще раз подчеркну, что нужно указать и ПРОБЛЕМУ, И РЕШЕНИЕ. На всякий случай.
Мой вариант:
Although we see that there are several ways to relax for teenagers, there is a problem connected with having a rest. Sometimes it is difficult to switch off from your studies and work, and instead of relaxing you spend time thinking about what else you have to do later. I believe that the best solution to this problem would be going out as fresh air and change of scenery can help to forget about things that keep bothering you at home.

Заключение + мнение (параграф №5)
В конце выстраданного письменного задания нужно написать свое мнение по теме проекта.
I would like to conclude by saying that relaxing is of primary importance for every person as it helps one to have a calmer and clearer mind which aids memory, positive thinking and concentration.

Лексические ошибки
Давайте разберем, какие ошибки носят гордое название “Лексические”. Это:
- неправильно употребленное слово в контексте (I would not speak so вместо I would not say so)
- ошибка в сочетаемости (make homework вместо do homework)
- пропуск слова, если он не влияет на грамматическую структуру предложения (My parents are very well familiar (пропущен предлог with) the topic)
- ошибки в словообразовании, если часть речи не меняется (например, unresponsible вместо irresponsible)
- ошибка в фразовом глаголе (give in smoking вместо give up smoking)
- орфографическая ошибка, которая меняет значение слова (thing вместо think, whether вместо weather)
Но нужно не только не допустить ошибки, нужно помнить, что лексика должна соответствовать поставленной задаче. То есть, если проект про еду – должны употребляются всякие синонимы и выражения по теме “еда”.
Грамматические ошибки
Эксперт при проверке задания 38 присваивает вашей ошибке статус “грамматической”, если она:
- в любой грамматической форме, будь то форма глагола, множественного числа сущ., степени сравнения и в любой теме из раздела “Грамматические темы” кодификатора
- в порядке слов в предложении (например, I do not know what are they thinking about. – Во второй части предложения обратный порядок слов, хотя знака вопроса не стоит)
- есть пропуск слова, влияющий на структуру предложения (например, These people wrong. – Отсутствует глагол-связка “are”)
- в словообразовании, если меняется часть речи (например, хотели написать “политик” (politician), а написали politic (политический)
В сочинении приветствуются сложные структуры, модальные глаголы, обороты с пассивом/ инфинитивом/ причастиями, условные предложения, главное – не перестараться и ‘не писать все красивое сразу”, в ущерб смыслу.

В сочинении орфографическими ошибками считаются:
- Все ошибки, не меняющие значения слова (например, collegue, becouse, languaege)
(Если ошибка меняет значение слова, она становится лексической – например, thing вместо think, whether вместо weather) - Если слово в работе написано один раз правильно, а остальные – неправильно, это считается ошибкой
- Если буква или слово написаны неразборчиво, слово считается написанным неверно
Во всей письменной части экзамена ученик может выбрать либо британский, либо американский вариант написания слова – favourite/ favorite, colour/ color, drugstore/ pharmacy, crisps/ chips. И придерживаться выбранного варианта до конца. То есть, если в одном предложении написано colour, а в другом – favorite, такая вариативность будет записана в число ошибок.
Теперь про пунктуацию. Забудьте про сокращения (don’t/wouldn’t/mustn’t) – они отнимут у вас баллы. Их можно и нужно писать в электронном письме другу (задание 39), но не в сочинении.
Если ученик напишет какие-то слова в работе неразборчиво, и эксперт не сможет понять, что же там написано – поставят ошибку в написании слова.
Образец
План написания проекта представлен в самом задании:
– make an opening statement on the subject of the project work;
– select and report 2-3 main features;
– make 1-2 comparisons where relevant and give comments;
– outline a problem that can arise with having a rest and suggest the way of solving it;
– draw a conclusion giving your personal opinion on the importance of relaxing well in our lives.

It is hard to deny the importance of having a good rest. I have decided to do a project on how teenagers in Zetland relax after a busy day and found the results of opinion polls which you can find in the table.
As we can see from the table, 38% of respondents prefer doing a hobby after a busy day, while eating tasty food is the least popular way of relaxing with only 6 % of teenagers doing it. Also, adolescents spend time with their friends, sleep and walk in the open air to have a rest after a tiring day.
Looking at the figures in the table, we can see that spending time with friends (noted by 31% of respondents) is almost twice as popular as sleeping, which stands at 15%, and almost three times more popular than walking in the open air (noted by 10 % of respondents). It is not surprising as teenagers need communication to develop their personality.
Although we see that there are several ways to relax for teenagers, there is a problem connected with having a rest. Sometimes it is difficult to switch off from studies and work and instead of relaxing you spend time thinking about what else you have to do. I believe that the best solution to this problem would be going out as fresh air and change of scenery can help to forget about things that keep bothering you at home.
I would like to conclude by saying that relaxing is of primary importance for every person as it helps one to have a calmer and clearer mind which aids memory, positive thinking and concentration.

Алгоритм написания
- Отводите 60 минут на это задание.
- Просмотрите оба проекта и решите, какой из них понятнее и легче описать.
- Читайте тему проекта и набрасываете в двух словах, что вы скажете на каждый пункт плана. После того, как набросали, проверяете всё и убеждаетесь, что все написанное СООТВЕТСТВУЕТ ТЕМЕ ПРОЕКТА.
- Напишите проект на черновик. Если у вас осталось мало времени – пишите сразу на чистовик.
- Проверьте ошибки. Здесь советую вспомнить свои типичные “ляпы” и проверить работу на них.
- Перепишите на чистовик. Проверьте ошибки, проверьте, что написали номер задания (38.1 или 38.2) в начале.
P.S. – Если вы читаете задание на экзамене и понимаете, что не знаете какое-то слово в теме, не паникуйте! Успокойтесь и попробуйте угадать, как это слово может переводиться.
Готовиться к заданию 38 я бы советовала, когда уровень ученика соответствует хотя бы B1 (идеально – B2, потому что он заявлен как ключ к успеху на ЕГЭ).

Все чаще выпускники 11 классов для сдачи ЕГЭ выбирают английский язык и при этом показывают достойные результаты. В 2022 году более 87 тысяч ребят сдавали английский, и средний тестовый балл на ЕГЭ по английскому языку составил 73,27 — это самый лучший показатель среди всех экзаменов по выбору. Однако не стоит думать, что все дело в легких экзаменационных заданиях. Это далеко не так. Ребята выбирают английский осознанно и очень серьезно готовятся к экзамену.
Если кто-то думает, что сдать ЕГЭ по английскому можно, полагаясь на русский «авось», то он очень глубоко заблуждается. Просто так справиться со всеми заданиями единого госэкзамена по английскому без хорошей подготовки невозможно в принципе. Особенно это касается вопросов, требующих развернутого письменного ответа. В частности, много вопросов у ребят вызывает задание №38 — развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения. О порядке выполнения этого задания мы подробно расскажем в этой статье, а также дадим несколько советов по подготовке.

Что представляет собой эссе на ЕГЭ по английскому языку
По принципу построения ЕГЭ по английскому языку очень сильно напоминает международные экзамены (TOEFL, IELTS, Кембриджские экзамены). По уровню сложности единый госэкзамен по английскому соответствует уровню B1 (Intermediate — средний) общеевропейской шкалы языковой компетенции CEFR. Чтобы успешно справиться со всеми заданиями теста, выпускник должен владеть английским языком на уровне Intermediate (Средний) или Upper-Intermediate (выше среднего).
Задание №38 (38.1 или 38.2) предполагает создание развернутого письменного высказывания с элементами рассуждения на основе предложенной таблицы или диаграммы. Задача экзаменуемого — описать события (факты или явления) и выразить собственное мнение на этот счет.
Задание 38 из ЕГЭ по английскому языку многие сравнивают с task 1 из academic IELTS, но такое сравнение не совсем корректно. Если в IELTS эссе должно быть построено только на основе имеющихся данных, то в ЕГЭ экзаменуемые могут также использовать собственные знания, приводить аргументы и выражать свое мнение.
Развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения относится к заданиям высокого уровня сложности. Это испытание предназначено для выпускников средней школы, прошедших обучение по программе углубленного уровня. В отличие от старшеклассников, которые обучались по базовой программе, они владеют начальными навыками делового общения на английском языке, что невозможно без умения понимать таблицы, графики и диаграммы. Это не просто описание картинки на английском языке, поэтому требуется дополнительная подготовка.
Работа оценивается по 5 критериям: решение коммуникативной задачи (содержание), организация текста, лексика, грамматика, орфография и пунктуация.
Что нужно уметь для успешного выполнения задания
Для успешной сдачи ЕГЭ по английскому языку нужно иметь прочные умения в разных видах речевой деятельности. При этом важно иметь полное и точное представление о формате экзамена, типах заданий и времени на их выполнение.
Согласно «Навигатору самостоятельной подготовки к ЕГЭ» от ФИПИ, чтобы справиться с заданием №38 письменной части, выпускник должен уметь:
- создавать письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения на основе таблицы или диаграммы в предложенной ситуации работы над проектом;
- понимать представленную в виде таблицы или диаграммы информацию и уметь описывать ее;
- сравнивать представленные факты;
- выделять проблемы и предлагать пути их решения;
- в письменной форме выражать свое мнение/суждение по предложенному аспекту темы проектной работы;
- использовать нейтральный стиль для письменного развернутого высказывания с элементами рассуждения на основе таблицы/диаграммы;
- применять в тексте средства логической связи;
- логично разбивать текст на смысловые блоки — абзацы;
- активно использовать имеющийся словарный запас и знакомые грамматические конструкции при создании письменных текстов;
- уметь перефразировать тему и показать ее дискуссионный характер;
- соблюдать правила орфографии и пунктуации.
Обратите внимание, что при оценивании письменной работы задания 38 особое внимание уделяется способности экзаменуемого высказывать свое мнение в письменной форме. Если более 30% ответа имеет непродуктивный характер, то вся работа оценивается в 0 баллов по критерию «Решение коммуникативной задачи».
Пример задания №38 из демоверсии ЕГЭ 2023 года
В письменном задании с развернутым высказыванием и элементами рассуждения экзаменуемому предлагается выбрать один из двух предложенных вариантов — 38.1 или 38.2.

Imagine that you are doing a project on how teenagers relax after a busy day in Zetland. You have found some data on the subject – the results of the opinion polls (see the table below). Comment on the data in the table and give your opinion on the subject of the project.

Экзаменуемый может выбрать любую из двух предложенных тем. Одна из них строится на таблице, другая — на круговой диаграмме. Предложенные в заданиях планы ответов имеют общую структуру и различаются только в 4 и 5 пунктах.
Как писать эссе — общие рекомендации
Ознакомьтесь с заданием, обратите внимание на временные рамки. Постарайтесь максимально рационально распределить отведенные на задание 60 минут.
Изучая предложенные темы, постарайтесь мысленно подобрать возможное содержание. Важно остановиться на той теме, которая будет наиболее выигрышной с точки зрения аргументации. Если вы напишете хороший текст без ошибок, но по содержанию он не будет соответствовать поставленной
коммуникативной задаче, работа автоматически оценивается в ноль баллов.
Обратите внимание на ограничения по объему текста. Задача — написать текст из 200-250 слов, и это не формальность. Допустимое отклонение — плюс-минус 10%. Если объем текста будет менее 180 слов, то работа автоматически оценивается в ноль баллов без проверки. Если в задании более 275 слов, оценивать будут только первые 250. За отдельное слово засчитывается любая часть речи, включая вспомогательные глаголы, предлоги, артикли, частицы.
Соблюдайте нейтральный стиль. Избегайте риторических вопросов, разговорных выражений и кратких формы (I’m, he’s, don’t, aren’t, can’t, didn’t и т.п.).
Важно писать аккуратно и разборчиво. Если вы заметили в работе ошибку, нужно аккуратно зачеркнуть неправильное и сверху написать правильный вариант.
Важно грамотно распорядиться отведенным временем и успеть перенести текст эссе с черновика в бланк ответов. Черновые пометки (черновик) не проверяются
и не оцениваются.
Структура эссе в соответствии с требованиями ФИПИ
Чтобы избежать ошибок по такому аспекту, как организация текста, следует каждый пункт плана раскрывать в отдельном абзаце. Текст должен быть разбит на 5 абзацев:
1. Вступление. В первой части нужно перефразировать тему и показать ее дискуссионный характер; написать, что вы выполняете проектную работу, что нашли статистические данные по данной теме и собираетесь их представить. Не нужно писать, что вы самостоятельно собрали сведения/провели исследование и т.п. По условиям задания данные предоставляются в готовом виде;
2. Выбор и описание 2-3 фактов. Во втором абзаце нужно описать 2-3 показателя из приведенных в задании данных (обязательно с указанием цифр). При этом важно ссылаться на источник (таблицу/диаграмму). Числительные нужно писать цифрами. Будет вполне логично начать абзац с конструкции типа:
«According to the table/diagram/results of the opinion poll» — «Согласно таблице/диаграмме/результатам опроса общественного мнения»
или «To begin with, I would like to say/mention that…» — «Для начала я хотел бы сказать/упомянуть, что…»
3. Сделайте 1-2 сравнения, где это уместно. В третьем абзаце проведите сравнение данных из таблицы/диаграммы и дайте небольшой комментарий к проводимому сравнению. Абзац можно начать с фраз:
Clearly… — Понятно…
The data analysis reveals the fact that… — Анализ данных показывает тот факт, что…
The results of the opinion poll invite comparison / allow me to make some comparisons. — Результаты опроса общественного мнения приглашают к сравнению / позволяют мне провести некоторые сравнения.
4. Обрисуйте проблему и предложите способ ее решения. В четвертом абзаце нужно обозначить связанную с темой проектной работы проблему и предложить пути ее решения. Начать можно со слов:
Undoubtedly… — Несомненно…
It is important to note that… — Важно отметить, что…
5. В заключение выскажите свое мнение по поводу затронутой темы. Удачным началом пятого абзаца станут фразы типа:
In my opinion / I believe / I think — По моему мнению / я верю / я думаю
In conclusion… — В заключение…
I would like to express my opinion on — Я хотел бы высказать свое мнение по …
Шаблоны, клише, полезные фразы для эссе
Важно иметь в своем арсенале и уметь использовать самые разные типы клише и слов-связок (linking words): дополняющие, перечисляющие, сравнивающие, противопоставляющие и др. Такие конструкции делают текст органичным, создавая логичные переходы от одной мысли к другой. Вот несколько полезных слов-связок, которые пригодятся при выполнении письменного задания с развернутым ответом на ЕГЭ по английскому языку:
- In my opinion — На мой взгляд;
- To begin with, I would like to say/mention that… — Для начала я хотел бы сказать/упомянуть, что…;
- Furthermore — кроме того;
- Consequently — следовательно;
- Moreover — более того;
- It is important to note that… — Важно отметить, что… ;
- Eventually — в итоге;
- According to some experts… — По мнению ряда экспертов…;
- The data analysis reveals the fact that… — Анализ данных показывает тот факт, что… ;
- Strangely enough — как ни странно;
- Although — хотя;
- In addition to this — в дополнение к этому;
- Nonetheless — тем не менее;
- For the most part — по большей части;
- To sum everything up I came to conclusion that… — Подводя итог всему, я пришел к выводу, что…;

Работая над заданием №38 (развернутое письменное высказывание с элементами рассуждения), следует помнить, что вы имеете дело с заданием высокого уровня сложности, поэтому следует использовать лексику, по уровню соответствующую уровню Intermediate и выше. Обратите внимание, что требования к ответу на задание 38 значительно выше, чем требования к ответу на задание 37 (электронное личное письмо) в плане языкового оформления текста.

Вступление:
Spending free time has always been fun for teenagers. While doing a project on how teenagers relax after a busy day in Zetland, I have found a table containing some relevant data that I am going to comment on.

Сколько слов должно быть в эссе по английскому: требования ЕГЭ
Объем эссе по английскому в формате ЕГЭ предусматривает от 200 до 250 слов, но разрешается уходить в ∓ 10%. Проще говоря, если в тексте 180 слов, то за работу вы получите 0 баллов и проверять ее не будут, а при объеме эссе в 275 слов проведут проверку только первых 250 слов. Будьте осторожны и не ставьте результаты экзамена под угрозу, превышая лимит объема текста.
Структура эссе и организация текста
Вернемся к демонстрационному варианту. Составители экзаменационных заданий сначала предлагают учащемуся два тезиса, а затем план сочинения.
Плану важно следовать без отклонений. Эссе в формате ЕГЭ — не творческое задание, и у него есть правила написания. В тексте предусмотрено не меньше 5 абзацев. Каждый абзац передает только одну мысль.
Как написать эссе в ЕГЭ по английскому?
Абзац №1. Вступление / Introduction
Во введении озвучивается главная проблема. Автор как бы вступает в дискуссию со стороной, которая придерживается противоположного мнения. Здесь желательно уложиться в 2–3 предложения.
План действий:
- 1 предложение: общая информация и актуальность проблемы;
- 2 предложение: первая точка зрения;
- 3 предложение: вторая точка зрения.
Воспользуйтесь несколькими из предложенных нами ниже вводных слов на английском для эссе. Они помогут вам легко и красиво начать сочинение. Не забудьте рассказать, что существует две противоположных точки зрения на поставленную проблему.
На примере первой темы из демо-версии экзамена «Education is the most valuable thing for a teenager» напишем введение:
«It is a common knowledge that education is important for teenagers as the knowledge gained through good and effective education empowers teenagers to be able to evaluate problems and make better decisions. However, there are plenty of people who think that finding one’s passions is more important for young people’s future than formal education.»
Во время экзамена ваша концентрация и нервы будут на пределе. Поэтому выучите наизусть предложенные вводные фразы. Это необходимо, чтобы вся ваша умственная энергия шла на поиск аргументов и грамотное письмо, а не на подбор подходящих словесных конструкций.
Абзац №2. Мнение автора / Personal opinion
В задании 40 предлагается написать 2–3 предложения в поддержку своего мнения. Мы предлагаем остановиться только на двух и хорошо их расписать. Простая фраза «Я думаю, что образование для подростков необходимо» не даст вам желаемого количества баллов (про все критерии оценки поговорим подробнее ниже).
Как бы обидно это ни звучало, экзаменатора ваше мнение на самом деле не интересует. Вы пришли на экзамен не для того, чтобы показать всем, как писать статью на английском, которую потом опубликуют в международном научном журнале. Главная задача учащегося — успешно расписать все пункты плана, поэтому защищайте ту позицию, для которой будет легче придумать доказательства. В этом могут помочь mind maps (интеллект-карты): на черновике быстренько запишите аргументы за и против своей позиции, так будет проще собраться с мыслями и написать само сочинение.
Чтобы соединить аргументы и получить связный текст, используйте готовые фразы для сочинения по английскому:

Тогда второй абзац может выглядеть следующим образом:
«In my opinion, if a teenager receives proper education they are more equipped for a life ahead of them. First, formal education provides youngsters with important life skills such as literacy and numeracy skills, as well as critical thinking. Without those, one can barely get through a day without a struggle. Furthermore, it is inevitable that the younger generation will face situations in their adulthood when their rights are compromised. Абзац №3. Противоположная точка зрения / Opposing opinion
В третьем абзаце ваша цель — рассказать о противоположной точке зрения и придумать для нее 1–2 доказательства. На данном этапе стоит подсчитать, сколько слов вы написали. Это необходимо, чтобы понять, сколько аргументов вы можете себе позволить в этом параграфе, чтобы уложиться в лимит слов. Важно помнить, что каждый аргумент из третьего параграфа вам надо будет опровергнуть в четвертом.
Мнение противоположной стороны:
- Some people believe it is better… (некоторые считают, что лучше…);
- Nevertheless, one can consider this problem from another angle (тем не менее на эту проблему можно посмотреть под другим углом);
- However, there exists another point of view on this issue (однако существует другая точка зрения на этот вопрос);
- There is another side to the issue/question of… (есть другая сторона этого вопроса…);
- There are people who have the opposing opinion (у некоторых людей противоположное мнение.
Аргумент 1: «first of all» (прежде всего), «the first thing to be considered is» (первая тема, о которой стоит поговорить…), «they say that» (люди считают, что…);
Аргумент 2: «another fact is that» (другой факт заключается в том, что…), «besides» (кроме того).
В итоге получается такой текст:
«There are people who have the opposing opinion. They say that teenagers will benefit more if they are allowed to follow their passion instead of being put through 11 years of formal school education. Indeed, if young people get to do what gives them satisfaction, they will live a more fulfilled life.»
Абзац №4. Контраргументы
Вот он, самый коварный пункт плана эссе по английскому. ЕГЭ был разработан, чтобы тестировать ваши знания и умения по иностранному языку. Здесь учащемуся предстоит не только привести аргументы против точки зрения, представленной в третьем параграфе, но и сделать это абсолютно нейтрально.
Привести контраргумент:
- Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because… (несмотря на то что я уважаю это мнение, я не могу с ним согласиться, потому что…);
- Nevertheless, I cannot agree with this statement, because… (тем не менее я не могу согласиться с этим высказыванием, потому что…);
- Moreover, one should not ignore the fact that… (кроме того, нельзя игнорировать тот факт, что…);
- Finally… (в конце концов…).
Пример четвертого абзаца:
«Despite my respect for this opinion, I cannot share it because it is impossible to discover one’s passion and succeed in pursuing it unless one has received proper education. Without having those invaluable competences that school teaches us, one can never even realise where their true potential lies.»
Абзац №5. Заключение / Conclusion
Мы почти у цели. В выводе нужно еще раз повторить свое мнение о проблеме в объеме 1–2 предложений. Здесь, как и на протяжении всего сочинения, важно не повторяться в формулировках и использовать синонимы.
Повторить свою точку зрения:
- To conclude / sum up / summarise (подводя итог);
- All in all… (в итоге…);
- All things considered, I am convinced that… (рассмотрев все аргументы, я прихожу к выводу, что…);
- Taking all this into account / consideration… (принимая все во внимание…);
- In short / conclusion… (коротко говоря…);
- Overall… (таким образом…).

Критерии оценки
Надеемся, после предложенного детального разбора, последнее задание ЕГЭ по английскому языку будет вам не страшно. Остается ознакомиться с тем, как ваше эссе будут оценивать экзаменаторы? За выполнение этого задания учащийся может получить 14 баллов. Они ставятся за следующее:
- «3» — решение коммуникативной задачи;
- «3» — организация текста;
- «3» — лексика;
- «3» — грамматика;
- «2» —орфография и пунктуация.
Критерии оценки ЕГЭ можно найти на сайте ФИПИ. Ниже даем расшифровку того, как эссе будут оцениваться экзаменаторами.
Коммуникативная задача. Четко следуйте заданной теме.
Организация. Эссе должно быть разделено на пять абзацев, которые логично связаны друг с другом вводными конструкциями. 
Лексика. Используйте фразы для сочинения по английскому, которые мы показали выше. Шаблоны, клише и вводные фразы — ваши друзья, зовите их на помощь. Задействуйте синонимы и нейтральную речь.
Грамматика. Употребляйте слова правильно и избегайте любых грамматических ошибок.
Орфография и пунктуация. Сочинение должно быть читаемым, поэтому пишите как можно понятней. Письмо в стиле «как курица лапой» выйдет в ноль баллов. 
Лексика, грамматика, орфография и пунктуация
Большое значение в задании 40 будет отведено четырем элементам: лексике, грамматике, орфографии и пунктуации. Разберем типичные ошибки в написании сочинения.
Лексические ошибки
Значительно срезают баллы за лексику. Не стоит использовать в тексте английские сокращения. Они считаются нормой в повседневной речи и переписках, но никак не в академическом тексте. Для соблюдения нейтрального стиля откажитесь от сокращений:
- I’m sure => I am sure
- Doesn’t matter => does not matter
- Wasn’t / weren’t => was not / were not
Следует избегать и разговорной лексики:
- They are stupid to think that …(они совсем глупые, чтобы думать…);
- Their opinion sucks! (их мнение — отстой!);
- It is ridiculous to even imagine… (смешно даже представить …).
Если вы где-то слышали, что риторические вопросы очень нравятся проверяющим — забудьте это прямо сейчас. Советуем не использовать такие фразы для сочинения по английскому, как:
- But have you ever wondered …? (вы когда-нибудь задумывались …?);
- Can you only imagine…? (вы можете только представить …?).
Грамматические ошибки
Перед тем как идти на ЕГЭ по английскому, проштудируйте грамматические правила языка еще раз. Во время экзамена очень легко пропустить окончание -s у глаголов, связанных с именами существительными в третьем лице, или перепутать правильные и неправильные глаголы.
- She write books. She writes books. (она пишет книги);
- He feeled tired. He felt tired. (он чувствовал себя уставшим).
Орфографические ошибки
Конечно, знать, как правильно пишутся все слова, невозможно, поэтому ваша задача использовать в своем сочинении только те слова, правописание которых вы знаете на 100%. Важно придерживаться либо американского, либо британского варианта написания на протяжении всего эссе:
- favourite (британский) / favorite (американский) — излюбленный;
- colour (британский) / color (американский) — цвет;
- pharmacy (британский) / drugstore (американский) — аптека;
- crisps (британский) / chips (американский) — чипсы.
Пунктуационные ошибки
Пишите эссе разборчиво, иначе можно потерять полбалла.
- Запятой обособляются придаточные предложения, если они стоят перед главным предложением. Например, While some advocate for less green gas emissions, others promote building more coal mines. (пока одни добиваются уменьшения парниковых газов, другие выступают за строительство еще большего количества угольных шахт).
- Запятыми обособляются вводные слова и фразы, если они стоят в начале или середине предложения. Например, In other words, the world is ready for young people to introduce better policies. (другими словами, мир готов к тому, чтобы молодые люди представляли лучшие законопроекты). Или другой вариант, Tourism is great for the economy, thus more countries should be working on attracting foreign tourists. (туризм хорошо влияет на экономику, поэтому больше стран должны работать над привлечением иностранных туристов).
- Запятыми разделяются два и более равнозначных прилагательных, если они описывают одно существительное и между ними можно поставить союз and. Например, He is a strong, healthy man. (He is a strong and healthy man) (он сильный, здоровый мужчина).
Советы при написании сочинения
Давайте поговорим еще раз про лимит слов в вашем эссе и что вообще нужно считать за слово, а что нет. Итак, экзаменатор будет отмечать как отдельное слово: все вспомогательные глаголы, предлоги, артикли, частицы, а также числительные (включая цифры и проценты), сложные существительные и прилагательные (six-pack, mother-in-law, English-speaking); любые сокращения и аббревиатуры (e-mail, TV, UK).

Эссе по иностранному языку требует качественного содержания и хорошей организационной структуры, а также грамотного языкового оформления.
Написание сочинения по английскому языку является одним из самых проблемных заданий при сдаче единого государственного экзамена. По сложности конкуренцию ему может составлять только аудирование. Поэтому тренировка в составлении эссе должна быть особенно усиленной и интенсивной.
С 2012 года время, выделенное на весь экзамен по иностранным языкам, увеличено до 180 минут. Так как остальные задания экзамена не были изменены, мы рекомендуем вам потратить дополнительное время именно на письменную часть (80 минут). Более того, уточняется план к заданиям, что может облегчить задачу в написании.
Как и написание письма на английском языке, сочинение входит в часть C. В задании С2 в ЕГЭ по английскому языку нужно написать сочинение с элементами рассуждения по данному высказыванию. Выполнить это задание не будет сложно, если вы будете придерживаться представленных ниже советов от 5-ege.ru.
Используйте формальный стиль письма:
- не пользуйтесь сокращениями (don’t, can’t, I’m, it’s),
- не используйте скобки или восклицательные знаки — это свойственно неформальному стилю письма;
- не начинайте предложения со слов and, but или also; в разговорном языке вы можете их использовать, но избегайте этого в сочинении;
- не употребляйте вводные слова, характерные для неформального стиля (well, to tell the truth и др.);
- избегайте слишком простых предложений; объединяйте их в сложные, используя логические средства связи.

Разделите текст на смысловые абзацы в соответствии с предложенным в задании планом.
- В первом абзаце сформулируйте проблему, которую вы будете обсуждать, однако не повторяйте тему сочинения слово в слово. Представьте, что ваш читатель не знает, о чем пойдет речь, и попытайтесь объяснить ему проблему другими словами.
- Выделите положительные и отрицательные стороны проблемы, подумайте о разумных аргументах, в поддержку обеих точек зрения. Помните, что вы должны выразить не только свою точку зрения, но и противоположную. Также не забудьте объяснить, почему вы не согласны с другой точкой зрения. Старайтесь соблюдать баланс между абзацами.
- Используйте слова-связки, чтобы помочь читателю проследить за логикой ваших рассуждений. Помните, что вводные слова выделяются запятыми.
- В последнем абзаце сделайте обобщающий вывод по данной проблеме. Вы можете также окончательно сформулировать свое мнение или предложить пути решения данной проблемы.
Структура по частям
- Заголовок — название эссе, которое отражает тему повествования.
- Введение — 2-4 коротких предложения, которые раскрывают тему эссе.
- Основная часть — 2-3 абзаца, которые описывают суть сочинения. Максимально полно и грамотно раскройте тему, приведите доводы и аргументируйте их.
- Заключение — 2-4 предложения, которые подводят итог. Общий вывод по теме.
В основной части сочинения все абзацы начинаются с вводного предложения (Topic Sentence) – введения. Далее мысль Topic Sentence развивается и подтверждается.
Объем сочинения должен составлять 200-250 слов. При этом артикль – это тоже слово, поэтому не слишком увлекайтесь с развитием идей, постарайтесь удержаться в заданных рамках.

No doubt that learning languages takes up a lot of time. That is why some people think that it would be better to have only one language on our planet. But will it be really beneficial for mankind?
In my opinion, the reduction of the number of languages is a disaster because it will totally destroy our great cultural heritage. With each loss of a language comes a loss of a culture, a loss of a way of life that deserves to be protected and treated as valuable. I also believe that leaving one language for communication will greatly reduce the linguistic diversity of our planet, which is the key to our survival. What is more, it will be rather difficult to choose which language to use and it may even lead to wars.
Many people think that if we have only one language, communication will become easier and there will be no need to learn foreign languages. I cannot agree with them because knowledge of foreign languages makes a person educated and well rounded. You cannot broaden your mind if you see the world only from the perspective of your own culture. Besides, people are a lot more helpful if you speak their language.
In conclusion, I would argue that we should try our best to preserve the linguistic diversity of our planet. I think that larger cultures should have a respect for minority languages, but first of all the younger generation must want to preserve their native language.

There are a lot of zoos in the world and millions of people visit them every year. But are zoos harmful or helpful to animals which are caged there?
I strongly believe that we should not keep animals in zoos because captivity is not natural for them and it is a constant stress to a wild animal. Keeping animals in zoos harms them by denying them freedom of movement and association. What is more, zoos are like prisons for animals as they live in small cages and do not get necessary food. In addition, animals become very aggressive and unpredictable as they get older and often attack zoo keepers and other people.
However, most people think that zoos help endangered species survive. But this is not true because most rare animals are extremely difficult to breed in captivity. Besides, in zoos, it is almost impossible to meet the animals’ natural needs. Another argument for keeping animals in zoos is that people learn something new about these animals. Actually, zoos do not teach us much because animals do not act the way they would in the wild. I think we can learn more about animals by watching wildlife programs on TV.
In conclusion, I would argue that zoos do not seem to help endangered species and keeping animals behind bars only for the sake of our entertainment is not quite fair. In my opinion, people must create nature reserves, where wild animals will be able to live in their natural environment.

There is no doubt that the invention of the car changed the world and nowadays we can hardly find a family without a car. Nevertheless, some people are against cars, especially in the centers of big cities.
In my opinion, cars should not be allowed into the city centers as they add to pollution and poison the air we breathe. We must also think about the people who live in the center and suffer from the noise made by cars. Moreover, the streets in the center are usually narrow therefore people are often stuck in traffic for many hours and, as a result, arrive late at their destination. Final-ly, with ho cars in city centers, there would be no need for large ugly car parks, which would allow more space for parks. However, many people believe we would not be able to survive without cars because most of the products for shops and other businesses are transported by cars. Besides, they are afraid that public transport would be overloaded. I am sure it is possible to solve these problems by introducing a reliable high frequency tram service as well as developing the underground. As for goods, we could use electric vehicles for their delivery.
To sum up, I believe that a clean, reliable and environmentally friendly public service would encourage people to use public transport and help smooth the transition to a car-free zone.

Nowadays people spend lots of money in order to go to an English-speaking country to improve their language skills. But is it really the most effective way of learning a language? In my view, studying in a foreign country has certain drawbacks. Firstly, this way is very expensive as the tuition fee for overseas students is rather high. Besides, when you study abroad, you have to adapt to a very different way of life, which can be quite stressful. What is more, English teachers do not speak Russian so if you don’t know English well, you will not understand their explanation.
It is often assumed that it is better to study a language abroad because you can always use it speaking with native speakers. However, I doubt that we will have lots of opportunities to speak abroad as we do not know many people there. It is also believed that Russian teachers are not as qualified as those in England. I totally disagree with this opinion because Russian teachers can compare two languages and explain grammar rules better.
To sum up, I would argue that the best way to learn a language is to study it in your native country because you can always get the necessary help from your teachers. Moreover, today we have lots of opportunities to improve our skills such as communicating with English pen-friends over the Internet. I think that we should travel abroad so as to practise a language but not to study it.

Most people understand that without knowledge of foreign languages it is difficult to survive in the modern world. Therefore they send their children to schools where they can study two or even three foreign languages. However, is it good to study several languages simultaneously? On the one hand, foreign languages are the main part of our culture so they help us to expand our outlook. We cannot broaden our minds if we see the world only from the perspective of our own culture. In addition, learning languages is a good exercise for the intellect. Moreover, if pupils know at least one foreign language, they learn new languages much faster. On the other hand, many pupils find it confusing to learn two or three languages at a time, especially languages that are similar, because children usually mix up lots of words. Besides, some languages are tricky enough to learn. For example, in English there are more exceptions than rules. In this case, children can be overloaded with homework. More than that, some pupils do not know their native language well and learning several foreign languages could prevent them from mastering their own language.
In conclusion, I want to say that learning languages is extremely beneficial and I would like to know different foreign languages. However, I believe children should not learn too many languages at the same time so as not to get confused. They ought to get a solid base in one language before they start learning a new one. 16. No doubt that it is a unique invention, which has influenced all areas of our lives. However, some people consider the Internet one of the greatest evils of our time. On the one hand, the Internet is very useful, because it lets us access a world of facts, figures and knowledge. In addition, with the Internet, it is now possible to speak to friends and relatives any-where in the world cheaply and quickly. Other services are also available through the Internet such as booking tickets or buying things. Moreover, the Internet allows a lot of talented people to show the world their achievements and makes it easier to find a job. On the other hand, the Internet can become a disaster for our society, because people spend hours in front of their computers and neglect their everyday duties. Another worry is the activities of cybercriminals. For example, hackers can steal your money or even your property while cyberterrorists may ‘attack’ the world’s computers, causing chaos, and making planes and trains crash. What is more, leaders of different terrorist or oppositional organizations can use the Internet to find new followers.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that despite the criticisms by some and the fears of others, the Internet seems to have changed our world to the better and we must try to make the best use of it.

Recent advances in genetic biology have led us to quite a doubtful situation. People all over the world argue whether human cloning research should be controlled by the government as solving problems connected with human cloning is definitely not a piece of cake. In my opinion, human cloning experiments are extremely dangerous because there are huge risks of abnormalities in human clones. Moreover, if clones have been made, they will obviously have serious psychological problems connected with their unusual birth. Finally, there is no doubt that human cloning will change our perception of what is the value of a human life as we might change from having children to manufacturing them. However, scientists claim that human cloning could be very beneficial as therapeutic cloning could provide stem cells for regenerative medicine and tissues for transplantation. Besides, re-productive cloning will probably give parents who are both infertile an opportunity to have children. I am afraid that this technology is not safe enough to use on humans. It is also possible that clones will age quicker since the cell used in the cloning procedure has already been used in a real life individual.
To sum up, we must question whether human cloning is really worth it when weighed against the problems it raises. From my point of view, human reproductive cloning should be under the tight control of the government and the UN because it is dangerous to interfere with nature and the consequences can be really disastrous.

The latest advances in information technology make people think that schools of the future will use computers instead of printed books. Although electronic books have not been widely accepted yet, they have certain advantages over traditional paper volumes. But will they be able to replace printed books? In my opinion, students will be widely using computers for studying in the future. To begin with, computers can store lots of books in their memory and modern software allows us to find quickly the necessary information. Besides, with the interactive programs on computers studying will be much more exciting. What is more, electronic books will not degrade overtime like their printed counterparts. On the other hand, lots of disbelievers argue that computers will not replace printed books because a printed book is better for human eyes than a computer screen. In addition, books are cheaper and easier to use since they do not need electricity or the Internet connection. I cannot agree with this because modern computer screens emit no radiation and allow us to read even in low light conditions. Of course we will have to pay for electricity but I think it will be cheaper than to pay for printed books, which are very expensive nowadays.
To sum up, I think computers and printed books will peacefully coexist for years to come, but in the future technological progress will make it possible for students to carry laptops or even palmtops instead of traditional bags with lots of heavy books.

People have always had different hobbies but technological progress has caused the appearance of computers and computer games, which can keep a child occupied for hours. However, adults consider computer games a complete waste of time. As for me, I believe computer games are more than mindless entertainment. To begin with, computer games can teach people to achieve their aims as they regularly put obstacles and traps in the way of players which are necessary to overcome in order to progress through the rest of the game. Additionally, computer games can be a valuable source of accidental learning that can be applied to school, home, and social events. Moreover, teachers have also started to appreciate educational games as an opportunity to make their lessons more exciting. Nevertheless, quite a few people are against this activity as they find it rather addictive and harmful for children’s health. They argue that computer games make students neglect their school work. However, if we learn to control our computer use and play games for an hour just to relax after a hard day at school, this will not do us any harm. What is more, modern technology made it possible to eliminate the bad effect of computers on our eyes.
To sum up, I believe that computer games have more advantages than drawbacks. They make us persistent, develop our logical reasoning and help us to escape from everyday problems. The thing is to find a right balance between virtual reality and everyday reality.

Space exploration can mean a major leap for mankind. However, it is often criticized because the price for these space experiments is too high, especially while poverty still exists in many parts of the world. On the one hand, space research is extremely beneficial as it advances technology. As a result of this work, we have lots of inventions, which have made our lives much more comfortable. In addition, through the exploration of space, we could find new elements, minerals or even discover new laws of physics and eventually learn more about ourselves. What is more, space exploration will allow us to establish a human civilization on another planet as a hedge against the catastrophe that might occur on the Earth. On the other hand, the benefits of space exploration are not self-evident, no matter how real they are. It costs billions of dollars to fund the projects of space science whereas this money should rather be spent on meeting the needs of the underprivileged. Besides, some of the technology we develop through space science can be used in a destructive manner if it is in the wrong hands. Finally, a travel to space can be dangerous as we may discover something that is extremely harmful for the living beings on Earth.
To conclude, I want to say that space exploration satisfies the human desire for adventure therefore most people are interested in space research. Nevertheless, I believe our governments should find the right balance between social and space programs.
