В данной статье мы поговорим о том, как сравнить две фотографии (картинки, картины, изображения) согласно требованиям экзамена по английскому языку.

Для того, что бы на экзамене набрать высший балл по данному заданию необходимо знать не только стандартные клише (высказывания и фразы), но и научиться употреблять их в подходящей ситуации. Это задание считается более сложным, чем просто описание одной картинки (фотографии).

Сколько времени  даётся на экзамене для сравнения фотографий (картинок, картин или изображений) на английском языке?

На экзамене по английскому языку важное требование — длительность монолога. Она должна составлять не менее 2 минут (это примерно 15 предложений). Ведь если говорить меньше — снимут баллы, а если говорить больше. то после истечении двух минут просто не услышат. Но не стоит паниковать. Если разобраться, все окажется довольно просто. Итак, начинаем!

План описания, сравнения и сопоставления картинок (картин или изображений)

1. Вступление. Тема фотографий

В критериях оценивания экзамена четко прописано наличие вступительной фразы, то есть не следует сразу начинать описывать (сравнивать) картинки. Начинайте свой рассказ с небольшого вступления.

В тексте задания 4 обозначена общая тема!

Начать сравнивать две картинки (фотографии) следует со следующих предложений:

I am going to compare and contrast these pictures. – Я хотел(а) бы сравнить и сопоставить эти две фотографии (картинки).

They are connected with the topic… (sport, party, food, family, travelling, weather) – Их связывает тема … (спорт, вечеринка, еда, семья, путешествие, погода).

2. Описание картинок

Далее описываем кратко, очень кратко, фото (не более 2-х развернутых фраз на каждую картинку, кто изображен, что делают и где находятся. Использовать Present Continuous).

Примечание: Повторить грамматическое правило Present Continuous можно в разделе “Грамматика“.

В этой части вы начинаете с небольшого вступления и описания того, что находится на картинках.

Внимание!
Ни в коем случае не начинайте выполнять данное задание сразу с сравнения картинок (фотографий). Сначала вступительное слово (пункт 1!).

Например,
In the first photo (picture) we can see … – На первом фото (картинке) мы видим …
The second one (picture) shows us (depicts) … – Вторая картинка показывает нам …

2. Сходство

Следом говорим о сходстве (сначала лучше сказать о явном сходстве), найти сходные черты на обоих фото и описать их.

Например,
These two photos have a lot in common. – Эти две фотографии имеют много общего.
The main similarity between these two photos is … – Самая главное сходство между ними …
Another similarity is that… – Другое сходство …

3. Различие

Затем начинаем говорить о различиях (для успешного ответа желательно выявить не менее 2-х отличий), объяснить в чем именно видно различие картинок, описать детали.

Например,
However, these photos have some differences. – Тем не менее, эти фотографии имеют некоторые различия.
Firstly, the main difference between two photos is … – Во-первых, главное различие между двумя фото это …

Далее можно любое стандартное различие найти (количество людей, возраст, погода, настроение, одежда и т.д).

Secondly, in the photo on the left we can see… in the photo on the right … – Во-вторых, на фото слева мы видим … на фото справа …

5. Предпочтение

Говорим о своих предпочтениях. Какая картинка больше всего нравится и почему. Формулировка этого пункта будет зависеть от конкретных фотографий. Например, если вы сравниваете две картинки, где люди занимаются экстремальным спортом, то предположительно вопрос может быть следующим: «какой вид спорта вы бы предпочли и почему?».

Внимание!
Внимательно прочитайте формулировку в задании 4 и используйте её в предложении о предпочтении.

Помните!
Вы не просто выбираете понравившуюся картинку, а отвечаете на конкретный вопрос!

If I had to choose, I*d prefer the (словосочетание из задания: concert, way of life и т.д.) presented in picture 1 (или 2) – Что касается меня, я б предпочел (предпочла) … потому что …

Если трудно аргументировать свой ответ, можно сказать что-то общее, например,

I always wanted to try it. – Я всегда хотел попробовать это.
It suits me better. -Оно мне лучше подходит.
It helps me to… – Это помогает мне …
I like it (I am keen on/enjoy) and I think it’s …(прилагательное). -Мне нравится (Я люблю / наслаждаюсь) и я думаю это …

6. Заключение (объяснение выбора)

Чтобы эксперт понял, что экзаменуемый закончил описывать картинки, следует произнести несколько заключительных предложений.

Например,
In conclusion, I would like to say …- В итоге я хотел(а) б сказать …
I hope I have managed to compare and contrast these photos. – Я надеюсь, мне удалось сравнить и сопоставить данный фотографии (картинки).
I’ve come to the end of my speaking. Thank you for listening.

Статья «Задание 4 устной части ЕГЭ по английскому языку

2022год»

 

В этой статье мы рассмотрим формат и стратегии выполнения
задания 4 устной части ЕГЭ по английскому языку 2022 года

На подготовку дается 2,5 минуты, на высказывание – не
более 3-х минут. Максимальный балл – 10. Всего нужно составить 12-15
предложений. Критерии оценивания:

Решение
коммуникативной задачи (РКЗ) – 4 балла.

Организация высказывания – 3 балла. Языковое оформление – 3
балла.

Для подготовки к данному заданию рекомендуется обратить внимание
не только на критерии оценивания, но и на дополнительную схему оценивания.
Раньше подобная схема была только в руках экспертов. Она помогает им объективно
оценить ответ участника экзамена. В этом году дополнительная схема оценивания
опубликована в проекте демоверсии (актуальную демонстрационную версию вы можете скачать на сайте ФИПИ), чтобы
участник экзамена мог сам себя проверить.

 

Изменилось условие задания

Теперь по условию
задания вы вместе с другом выполняете проектную работу на какую-то конкретную
тему (в составленной мной работе приведена  тема «Где лучше жить подростку — в
городе или в деревне»). Вы нашли фотографии по теме вашей проектной работы и
хотите рассказать о них другу, записав голосовое сообщение.

В своем ответе вам необходимо:

дать краткое описание фотографий, объясняющее выбор
фотографий для проектной работы

–                   
рассказать о различиях между снимками, объясняющих выбор этих
самых снимков для проектной работы

–                   
Перечислить достоинства и недостатки (1–2) чего-то, что
сравнивается в проектной работе (в составленной мной работе из вариантов
ЕГЭ–2022 в задании 4 сравниваются сравниваются город и деревня с целью выявить
лучшее место для жизни подростка).

They must be farmers collecting the harvest they have grown.  In the second picture there is a young man going along the street of a big city. He is having a camera in his hands. He seems to be looking through the photos he has just taken.
2) Say in what why the pictures are different Сравните две фотографии. Различия могут быть в местах действия, видах деятельности, выборе стиля жизни, привычек, хобби, блюда, но обязательно связаны с темой проекта.	There are important differences between these pictures. Firstly (the first obvious difference is that) the people on the left are in the countryside, whereas the man on the right is in urban area. Secondly, while the couple in the first picture is enjoying their work in the piece and quite of nature, the man in the second picture is surrounded by lots of people hurrying about their business. The atmosphere of this busy street seems to be noisy.
3) Mention the advantages and disadvantages  of living in a city and in a village Определите по одному преимуществу и одному недостатку объекта/ситуации для каждой фото, которые связаны с темой проекта	I think that both places for living shown in the pictures have their advantages and disadvantages. Urban residents, for example, have more opportunities for entrainment and education as a great number of universities, theatres, cinemas and museums are located in big cities.  But on the other hand, people living in big cities may suffer from lack of oxygen to breath and constant noise and pollution.  As for rural dwellers, they seem to have a better way of living as they can enjoy fresh air, lots of greenery and pure nature around them. On the downside, rural residents,
	especially teenagers may feel bored and isolated as they don’t have so many opportunities to for entrainment as their peers in a city have.
4) Explain how these photos illustrate the project Объясните, как эти фотографии иллюстрируют проект	These photos work really well for out project as they show that although living in the countryside is good for physical and mental health of the youth, they are deprived of many opportunities compared to urban residents.
5) Express your opinion on the subject  Выскажите свое мнение по поводу темы проекта и обоснуйте его.	Personally, I would not like to live in the countryside because I’m found of hustle and bustle of a big city. Also, I like to have everything close at hand. I think I would get bored living in a rural area as there would be nothing for me to do there.

Well, there are two pictures in front of me, and now I am going to compare and contrast them.

To begin with, I’d like to say that both pictures are related to one theme. It is “bears”. The first picture shows us a bear sitting on some rocks in a zoo. It is being photographed by a lot of people. The second picture shows us a wild bear looking into the distance.

If you take a closer look, you’ll find a lot of common details in both pictures. Firstly, there is only one brown bear in the first picture as well as in the second one. Secondly, the action of both photos takes place in the open air. We can see that the bears are not in an enclosed area.

Despite the fact that these pictures have much in common, they are quite different. In the left-hand photo the bear is surrounded by a number of photographers while in the right-hand photo there is noboby but the bear itself. In addition to it, it seems to me that the bear in the first picture looks happier than its counterpart in the second picture.

As for me, I’d prefer to observe bears in a zoo, because they are dangarous animals, and I don’t want to put my life on the line.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that these pictures are quite interesting and worth discussing.

Well, I have two pictures to compare and contrast. From the very beginning, I’d like to say that both pictures are connected with a very important topic. It is human environment. The first picture shows us an urban environment with high modern houses, much traffic, and the like. The second picture presents the countryside, which is very quiet, and nothing special is happening there.

If you take a closer look, you’ll find a lot of common details in both pictures. In the first place, I’d like to state the fact that there are some buildings in both pictures. In addition to it, there is a road running through the scene, and greenery in both photos.

As far as differences are concerned, it is obvious that the houses are different in the pictures. Absolutely! In the first photo we can see a number of skyscrapers and other city constructions made of reinforced concrete plates. In the second photo we can see plain small country-houses, which are nothing out of the common. Besides, the roads differ from each other in the pictures. In the left-hand picture, the road is wide and full of cars, buses, and other city vehicles. In the right-hand picture, the road is unsurfaced, and utterly empty.

As for me, I’d prefer an urban environment, though it is more polluted and less comfortable to live. The reason is that a big city has more opportunities for personal development and making a successful career.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that these pictures are quite interesting and worth discussing.

Now, I am going to give a short talk about the photos which are presented here. You can see my sister Victoria in both photos. In the left-hand photo she is cooking dinner while in the right-hand photo she is snowboarding.

As a matter of fact, these pictures have much in common. In the first place, you should pay attention to the number of persons that are presented in both pictures. It is only one person who is shown in each case. I mean my sister whom I have just spoken about. What is more, her emotions in both pictures are the same. She is happy and excited.

However, the photos differ from each other to a considerable extent. Firstly, in the photo on the left you can see Victoria inside the house while in the photo on the right she is outside her place of living. Secondly, she is wearing different clothes. In the first case she is dressed in light clothes worn about the house. In the second case she is wearing a down-padded coat and warm winter trousers.

As for me, I’d prefer cooking to snowboarding. Frankly speaking, I’m not a sporty person. In addition to it, snowboarding is quite dangerous.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that these pictures are quite interesting and worth discussing.

Now I am going to give a talk comparing and contrasting two photographs.

To begin with, I’d like to say that these photos are connected with a very important topic. This is “family life”. In the left-hand photo you can see a happy family consisting of four persons. It seems to me that they are celebrating Christmas because there is a Christmas tree in the background. In the right-hand photo you can see another family consisting of three members. I guess they are having a birthday party because there is a birthday cake with the definite number of candles in it, and there are also birthday presents on the table.

It is at once apparent that both pictures have much in common. It goes without saying they depict a happy moment of family life. The people are dressed up, and they are also in good spirits. By all appearances, they are having a good time. There is one more detail that makes the pictures alike. I mean children. Both pictures show us happy children who are surrounded by their loving parents.

As to the differences, I should point out the fact that the children are of different sex in the pictures. It is a girl who is in the left-hand picture, and it is a boy who is in the right-hand picture. What is more, the number of persons is different. There are four persons in the first case while there are three persons in the second case.

Frankly speaking, it is difficult for me to decide what celebration to choose because they both seem to be awesome. Nevertheless, I’d prefer Christmas because it is a holiday for not only getting presents but also for making them.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that it is very important to have a happy family and to celebrate occasions together.

Well, I see two pictures, and now I am going to compare and contrast them.

As a first step, I’d like to say that these pictures are about spending free time together. In the first picture you can see a group of young people who are quad biking in winter. In the second picture you can see a party of friends who are going to watch TV.

If you take a closer look, you can see that these pictures have much in common. First of all, I’d like to point out the fact that both groups of people are sexually mixed. I mean there are males as well as females in each group. In addition to it, they are approximately of the same age.

Despite all the similarities, these pictures are rather different. It is obvious that the number of persons is not the same. There are three persons in the left-hand picture while there are four persons in the right-hand picture. Moreover, the first group is in the open air, in a thick forest. By all appearances, it is frosty and windy there. The second group is inside a house. They are sitting on a couch and feeling pretty comfortable.

As for me, I’d prefer having a party at home because I don’t like extreme activities. Frankly speaking, I am not a sporty person, and, what is more, I hate winter.

In conclusion I’d like to say that it is just awesome to have good friends to spend free time with.

Well, I have two pictures to compare and contrast.

Right at the beginning, I would like to point out the fact that the pictures are all about reading. The first picture shows us a girl reading something from her iPad at the moment. The second picture presents another girl reading a book.

Obviously, these photos have much in common. First of all, it is a beautiful young lady that should be mentioned as a common element of both situations. You can see that she is really carried away by reading, and she doesn’t pay attention to what is happening around her. Frankly speaking, it seems to me that the girl in the first picture is the same as in the second picture. Anyway, they look so much alike that I could hardly say they are different. They have one and the same shape of body, form of head, hair length, and the like. What is more, both girls are smiling, and their smile is scarcely perceptible.

If you take a closer look, you can’t help noticing some differences. Firstly, in the left-hand photo the girl has brown wavy hair while in the right-hand photo the girl has reddish-brown hair. Secondly, the book itself is different. In the first case the girl is reading an e-book downloaded into her iPad while in the second case it is a paper-book that is being read. It should also be noted that the action is happening in different places. The first girl is sitting on her comfortable couch at home while the second girl is standing in a streetcar.

As for me, I’d prefer e-books to paper-books, because a lot of e-books can be easily downloaded from the Internet for free, and in addition to it, they are more comfortable to read.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that reading is a good way to spend free time no matter what way of reading you choose.

Well, I am going to give a short talk about two photographs comparing and contrasting them.

It is at once apparent that these photos are related to one theme, which can be defined as “spending free time”. If you look at the first picture, you’ll see three members of a volleyball team. They are at the height of the fighting for the ball. In the second picture you see three pretty girls who are relaxing to the full extent dancing and maybe singing.

At first sight, you can notice a lot of common features. First of all, the number of persons shown in the pictures is the same. There are three persons in the first case, and there are three persons in the second case. In addition to it, I dare say that both actions are happening inside a building, not in the open air.

Despite all the similarities, the pictures are rather different. You know, the actions themselves are fundamentally different. In the first case, we see a moment that is extremely tense. The volleyball players are straining themselves as much as possible to return a ball. On the contrary, in the second case the girls are trying to relax and zone out. In addition to it, the photos differ from each other in the way the girls are dressed. The volleyball players are wearing a special uniform consisting of shorts and T-shirts. The dancing girls are wearing cool dresses, which are quite casual.

As for me, I’d prefer playing volleyball because sport makes us strong and healthy.

In conclusion I’d like to say that there many ways of spending free time. You should choose your own way considering your purposes, physical and mental state.

Well, I am going to give a short talk about two photographs comparing and contrasting them.

It is at once apparent that these photos are related to one theme, which can be defined as “taking care of your health”. Let me start with the first picture. You can see a number of people here who are exercising on running machines. The main person is a girl shown in the foreground. As to the second picture, there is a girl here who is jogging in a park.

It stands to mention that these pictures have much in common. Firstly, the main characters in both situations are females of approximately the same age. They are sporty, and they like keeping fit. Secondly, the girls are wearing similar T-shirts, which are suitable for doing sports best of all. What’s more, both young women are smiling, which means they are in good spirits and experiencing great pleasure in physical exercises.

Along with similarities, there are a lot of differences in these photos. First of all, the girls are doing sports in different places. The first girl seems to be in a gym or a fitness center while the second girl is jogging in an open area. Besides, if you look at the girls’ clothes, you see the difference of their colours. In the first case it is white while in the second case it is red.

As for me, I’d prefer jogging in a park. In my opinion, it is much healthier to do exercises in the open air breathing fresh air in and enjoying the surrounding nature.

In conclusion, I’d like to say that there are many ways of taking care of your health. You choose your own considering your preferences, purposes, and physical state.

Приветствую, мои дорогие читатели.

Сегодня я хочу продолжить серию статей, посвященных важному этапу в жизни любого школьника — сдаче экзамена ЕГЭ. И вот одно из важных испытаний, через которое вам придется пройти — это сравнить картинки. Сегодня я расскажу вам, какие требования есть в этой части, как к ней готовиться, а также дам шаблон сравнения картинок на английском языке для егэ и приведу примеры, как это лучше всего сделать.

В чем цель этого задания?

Одно дело, если вы можете выражать свои мысли заученными готовыми фразами. Но тогда шанс вашего успеха на экзамене крайне низкий. Ведь там тестируются ваши способности неподготовленной речи, способности анализировать информацию и делать выводы прямо здесь и сейчас.

Требования к выполнению задания

Требования к этому тесту такие же, как,  в общем, и к вашим знаниям английского. Но это задание считается уже более сложным, чем просто описание фотографии. Ведь здесь:

1. Вы должны уметь изъясняться на английском языке свободно и без подготовки, при этом владея навыком сравнения вещей, предметов, событий (и употребляя при этом подходящие выражения).
2. Вы должны владеть хорошим лексическим запасом, а также уметь использовать грамматические структуры соответствующего уровня.
3. Важное требование — длительность вашего монолога. Она должна составлять не менее 2 минут. Ведь если вы говорите меньше — вам снимают баллы.

По какому плану отвечать

Формулировка заданий, где происходит сравнение двух картинок, редко меняется, поэтому даже за год до экзамена вы можете быть уверенным в его структуре. Вот примерный план, по которому нужно вести свой монолог.

• Изучите две фотографии. Будьте готовы сравнить фотографии.

Прежде, чем приступить к описанию картинок, у вас есть пару секунд, чтобы их проанализировать и даже в голове сложить небольшой скелет своего ответа.

• Дайте краткое описание картинок.

В этой части вы начинаете с небольшого вступления и описания того, что находится на картинках. Одна из самых распространенных ошибок сдающих тест  — забывать про него и приступать сразу к сравнению.

• Скажите, что есть общего в картинках.

Примерно 20 секунд у вас может занять рассказ, в чем же картинки схожи.  Дайте 2-3 аспекта, в чем фотографии идентичны, и двигайтесь дальше.

• Скажите, чем они отличаются.

Аналогично с предыдущим пунктом — у вас будет примерно 20 секунд на противопоставление этих фотографий.

• Какая картинка вам больше всего нравится и почему.

Формулировка этого пункта будет зависеть от конкретных фотографий. Например, если вы сравниваете две картинки, где люди занимаются экстремальным спортом, то предположительно вопрос может быть следующим: «какой вид спорта вы бы предпочли и почему?»

Примеры и шаблоны

Конечно, оставить вас без примеров было бы крайне некрасиво. Поэтому я подготовила для вас образец, как легко справится с этим заданием.

1. Well, I would like to compare and contrast these two pictures. It is quite obvious that the pictures are connected by the same topic — environmental pollution. (Использование слова «well» может помочь вам сохранить 1-2 секунды, если вы не знаете, что сказать или с чего начать. Кроме того, рекомендуется в первых предложениях обобщить, что эти картинки связаны одной темой).
2. I’d like to start with describing the first picture. It shows a person throwing a banana skin out of the car window. It seems that the car is stuck in the traffic jam. As for the second picture, it shows a man sitting on the rubbish bins. There are three containers that are aimed at separating rubbish. The man is holding different items in his hands: a plastic bottle and some paper. (Не вдавайтесь в длительные описания лишь бы сократить время на все остальное. Каждая часть плана оценивается отдельно, поэтому 2 предложений-описаний на каждую картинку будет вполне достаточно).
3. The pictures do not have a lot in common. As I have already mentioned, they both deal with environmental pollution and what people do with this problem. (Даже если вам нечего сказать в сравнении — используйте хотя бы пару предложений и, так уж и быть, очевидные вещи. Но сказать, чем картинки похожи нужно обязательно).
4. Though, both pictures have great differences. In the first picture this person is throwing away the food just outside the car. There seems to be no containers for rubbish so the person is about to harm the environment. While in the second picture the man seems to encourage people to use separate containers. (На противопоставлении все аналогично).
5. In my opinion the situation in the second picture is much better as it is aimed at saving the environment. I wish there were more such people as in the second picture as the environmental problems affect everyone, so we should promote more careful attitude to our nature as it’s shown in the second picture. (Выражение своего мнения и его объяснение — важная часть. Здесь вы можете проявить свою хорошую лексическую подготовку, потому что во всех предыдущих пунктах 50% вашей речи занимают готовые фразы).

Ребята, уверена, что уметь задавать вопросы на английском — очень нужный навык. Например, он пригодится в задании ЕГЭ, где необходимо задать несколько вопросов по картинке. Советы от преподавателя

Конечно, оставить вас без моих советов и рекомендаций я не могу. Поэтому вот вам 4 главных совета, как сделать сравнение двух картинок более легким и успешным.

• Учитывайте типичные ошибки.

Различные форумы, статьи и личный опыт других людей, которые прошли через этот задание, могут помочь вам не наступать на чужие грабли. Все без исключения делают ошибки в начале. И если вы готовитесь самостоятельно, тогда вам просто крайне необходимо понимать, в чем чаще всего возникают проблемы.

• Научитесь чувствовать время.

Да, говорить меньше 2 минут нельзя. Но в самом начале эти две минуты кажутся вечностью, которую невозможно преодолеть. Пробуйте каждый день засекать себе время и делать что-то на протяжении двух минут. Помните упражнение, где нужно 5 минут описывать сковородку? Идите по тому же принципу, только сократите время до 2 минут. Результат вам гарантирован.

• Расширяйте свой словарный запас.

Без хорошей лексики на экзамене никуда. Увы, но такова правда. Нельзя прийти на тест с арсеналом лексики уровня Elementary и пытаться там всех «сразить». Выучите типовые фразы, запомните клише и следуйте за опытом тысяч людей, уже справившихся с этим до вас.

• Практикуйтесь.

Этот пункт, конечно, можно было бы поставить на первое место и больше ничего не писать. Но я решила сделать все наоборот. Без практики у вас ничего не выйдет. Все. Точка. Больше добавлять, собственно, и нечего. Вы не можете ожидать, что блестяще справитесь с заданием, только полагаясь на какие-то свои внутренние ощущения. Делайте его хотя бы раз в неделю, — а лучше раз в 2-3 дня.

Нет ничего лучше, чем использовать книгу-тренажер для подготовки к ЕГЭ. Типовые экзаменационные варианты (составленные в соответствии с проектом демоверсии КИМ ЕГЭ по английскому языку) и ответы ко всем заданиям помогут приблизиться к наивысшим баллам.

Что ж, второе — одна из ступенек по лестнице наверх «up to the top» и, так как ЕГЭ по английскому языку — это стандартизированный экзамен, то в этой статье мы поговорим о том, как сравнить две фотографии согласно требованиям этого экзамена.

1.Что такое стандарт и типичные ошибки при сравнении фотографий

Стандарт (от англ. standard — норма, образец) в широком смысле слова — образец, эталон, модель, принимаемые за исходные для сопоставления с ними др. подобных объектов.

Иными словами, стандарт — это определенный шаблон, по которому вас оценивают эксперты. Отступление от стандарта грозит вам лишением баллов. Да, печально, но уже со школьной скамьи приучают нас быть одинаковыми, стандартными, иначе…

Ладно, перейдем ближе к делу, а именно к сравнению двух фотографий на английском языке. Данное задание (задание 4) относится к высокому уровню сложности и содержит много подводных камней, которые надо обойти.

Вот пример сравнения двух фотографий, которое, кажется, вполне нормальным с точки зрения здравого смысла, но содержит ошибки с точки зрения стандарта.

Прочитайте внимательно это описание:

Well, both pictures show an animal, the bear. I would like to start with the first picture that shows a big polar bear in the zoo. The bear is sitting on a stone with its paws up. It is not looking at people, it looks aside and it seems that it is tired of so much attention. A lot of people have gathered near the open-air cage, taking pictures. As the people are wearing warm coats and caps, it is probably late autumn. The colours in this picture are grey and dark.

As for the second picture, it also shows a bear, but it is a brown bear. It is completely different from the first one as it shows the bear in the wild. In contrast to the first picture, the second one is full of bright colours: yellow flowers, green grass. It shows a summer day. The bear is busy, it is carrying a log. I like this picture more and not only because I like summer but also because I believe that keeping wild animals in zoos is inhuman. Although some people say that it is necessary for some educational purposes, to say nothing of entertaiment.

All in all, both pictures make me think of wildlife. As for me, I am sure that wild animals should live free in their natural habitat because they are part of nature.

Вот на какие типичные ошибки при сравнении фотографий обращают наше внимание эксперты:

1. Дается не сравнение, а последовательное описание фотографий.
2. Не выделяются общие и отличительные черты фотографий.
3. Не выражено личное отношение.
4. Нет вступительной и заключительной фразы.

Не использованы разговорные клише.

5. Не использованы средства логической связи.

Попробуем разобраться в этом. Но сначала давайте выясним, что думаете Вы :

Да, действительно, на момент написания статьи (дата: 9 января 2015 года) данное задание находилось в стадии апробации. И никто еще толком не знал, как же сравнить две фотографии максимально «правильно» с точки зрения стандарта. Но вот прошли семинары, пробные экзамены и, вроде как, разобрались, наконец! Что ж, надо и нам стандартизировать описание, чем и займемся сейчас.

Обратимся к опциям, которые надо раскрыть:

Первое, и самое важное, это решение коммуникативной задачи (или содержание): нужно по каждому аспекту сказать по 2-3 фразы. Итого получится примерно 12-15 фраз. —  Меньше недостаточно! Больше можно, но главное уложиться в 2 минуты, потому что потом Вас просто не будет слышно…

2.Как сравнить две фотографии на английском языке (шаблон)

Сразу хочу оговориться, что не являюсь экспертом. Советы, которые вы найдете ниже даны на основе анализа опыта других учителей, а также вебинаров Вербицкой М.В., Махмурян К.С. и, конечно, здравого смысла))

1. [Вступление — 10 секунд]

• Well, I would like to compare and contrast the photos which are presented here. — Итак, я хотел бы сравнить две фотографии, которые здесь представлены.

ИЛИ I would like to give a short talk about the photos which are presented here.

Обратите внимание, что в связи с тем, что Вам могут поставить НОЛЬ баллов, если вдруг экзаменатор посчитает, что вы описывали две картинки поочередно, а не сравнивали их, то советую сразу же во вступлении сказать о теме, которая связывает эти две картинки, а потом уже переходить к их КРАТКОМУ описанию, а именно:

• Obviously, both pictures are related to the same theme. It is … — Очевидно, что обе картинки относятся к одной и той же теме. Это…

ИЛИ The common theme of these pictures is … — Общая тема этих картинок — …

2. [Аспект 1] Краткое описание фотографий (действие, место) — 20 сек

• Let me start with describing the first picture, which shows … — Позвольте начать с описания первой картинки, на которой изображен…

Краткое описание первой картинки (пример)

Let me start with the first picture, which shows a polar bear in the zoo. A lot of people have gathered around its open-air cage. They are taking pictures. It is probably late autumn as the people are wearing warm coats and caps.

Вы видите, как значительно сократилось наше описание по сравнению с первым вариантом!

• As for the second picture, it shows … — Что касается второй картинки, на ней изображен…

Краткое описание второй картинки (пример)

As for the second picture, it also shows a bear. But it is a brown bear in the forest. The bear is carrying a log and looks quite happy. The season is probably summer and the picture is full of bright colours: yellow flowers, green grass.

То же самое, как ни обидно, но пришлось выбросить много фраз из описания!

3. [Аспект 2] Сравниваем две фотографии: что общего – 15 секунд

• The pictures have a lot (little) in common. — Фотографии имеют много (мало) общего.
• As I have already mentioned, both pictures show/ have/ were taken in … — Как я уже говорила, на обеих фотографиях изображен… / обе фотографии сделаны … (летом, например)
• There is (are) …. in both of them. — На обеих фотографиях изображен…

Примеры.

1. As I have already mentioned, both pictures show an animal, the bear.
2. Both pictures were taken in summer. (в данном случае с медведями не подходит, но очень распространенный вариант)
3. There is an animal, the bear, in both of them.

4. [Аспект 3] Сравниваем две фотографии: чем отличаются – 15 секунд

• Obviously, there are some (certain) differences. The first picture shows… but in contrast the second one shows… — Очевидно, что есть определенные различия. На первой картинке изображен… , в противоположность на второй…

• As for the …, the second picture is different from the first one as it shows… — Что касается …, то вторая картинка отличается от первой так как изображает …
• Besides, the … in the first picture … look(s) more … than in the second one. — Кроме того, …. на первой фотографии … выглядит более… чем, на второй.
• The first picture shows … but the second one shows … (более простая фраза)

Примеры.

1. Obviously, there are some differences. The first picture shows the bear in the zoo but in contrast the second one shows the bear in its natural habitat, in the forest.

Finally, the season is different. The sad and gloomy colours of the first picture are contrasted to the bright and cheerful colours of the second.

5. [Аспект 4] Выражаем свои предпочтения (личное мнение), какая фотография больше нравится или в каком событии ты хотел бы участвовать и т.п.– 15 секунд

• Personally, I like … — Лично мне нравится …
• I would prefer … — Я предпочел бы …

3. Сравнение двух фотографий на английском языке по шаблону (пример)

[Введение] Well, I would like to compare and contrast the photos which are presented here.

Obviously, both photos are related to the same theme. It is animal life.

[Аспект 1] Let me start with the first photo which shows a polar bear in the zoo. A lot of people have gathered around its open-air cage. They are taking pictures.

As for the second photo, it shows a brown bear in the forest. The bear is carrying a log and looks quite happy. The season is probably summer.

[Аспект 2] The photos have little in common. The only similarity is that they show an animal, the bear.

[Аспект 3] Obviously, there are a lot of differences. The first photo shows a bear in the zoo but, in contrast, the second one shows a bear in its natural habitat, the forest.

Besides, the bear in the first photo looks gloomy whereas in the second one the bear seems rather happy and lively.

Finally, the season is different. The sad and gloomy colours of the first photo are contrasted to the bright and cheerful colours of the second one.

[Аспект 4, аспект 5] Personally, I would certainly prefer freedom for wild animals. That is why I feel strongly against the first photo. I can’t help feeling sad and worried about that unlucky bear, which looks tired of people’s attention. I really do think that keeping wild animals in zoos is inhuman. More than that, I strongly believe that every living being should have the right to be free.

[Аспект 5] In conclusion, I would like to say that both pictures make us think about animal life but in a different way.

You will speak for not more than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). You have to talk continuously.
