Несколько недель назад мне удалось успешно сдать сертификационный экзамен на статус PMP (Project Management Professional), и на самом деле в этом нет ничего особенного, кроме того, что я сдавала тест, не покидая собственной квартиры. Сегодня поделюсь особенностями онлайн-экзамена и очень надеюсь вдохновить тех из вас, кто давно собирался пройти сертификацию, но долгое время откладывал.

Что изменилось?

2020 год — время перемен! В этом году многие компании научились вести бизнес и оказывать услуги в режиме онлайн, изменения затронули и Международный институт проектного управления (Project Management Institute – PMI). В апреле PMI впервые предоставил возможность сдавать сертификационный экзамен PMP удаленно — дома или в офисе, в любой день недели, 24/7. Онлайн-экзамен проходит под присмотром наблюдателя на базе платформы OnVue.

PMI утверждает, что единственное отличие в том, что теперь экзамен можно сдавать в пижаме!

Кроме того, PMI отказался от обновления экзамена 1 июля и продлил его текущую версию до конца этого года. Подробнее о новой версии экзамена можно прочитать здесь.

Наиболее важные правила онлайн-экзамена:

1. Появился приятный бонус — 10-минутный перерыв во время сдачи экзамена, который не учитывается в общей продолжительности теста (240 минут). Перерыв наступает автоматически — после ответа на первые 89 вопросов мне открылось окно, где можно было вернуться к ранее отмеченным вопросам, пересмотреть ответы и перейти к перерыву. Но имейте в виду, что после 10-минутного брейка уже нельзя будет вернуться к вопросам из первой части экзамена.
2. Во время экзамена ваша веб-камера и микрофон будут включены, и на протяжении 4 часов будет производиться запись всех ваших действий. Поэтому не стоит даже пытаться нарушить правила, описанные ниже.
3. При сдаче экзамена онлайн запрещается использовать любые письменные принадлежности. Теперь все заметки и рисунки вы будете делать с использованием Whiteboard — встроенной программы наподобие Paint. Советую заранее потренироваться рисовать критический путь в Paint, это нетривиальная задачка.
4. Электронные устройства, в том числе часы, лучше убрать подальше, а телефон и вовсе отключить, чтобы звонки и сообщения вас не беспокоили.
5. Еда и напитки запрещены. Думаю, это не страшно, ведь за время 10-минутного перерыва в середине теста можно успеть сделать глоток воды и даже перекусить.
6. Никто не должен входить в комнату, где вы сдаете экзамен, и никто не должен с вами разговаривать.

PMI предупреждает, что при несоблюдении одного из этих правил экзамен может быть принудительно завершен без возврата средств.

Что все это значит?

Если вы давно собирались сдать PMP и долго откладывали этот момент, уверяю вас, сейчас самое подходящее время. У вас есть все шансы подготовиться (я советую закладывать на это от 2 до 4 месяцев) и до конца года сдать экзамен в его текущей редакции в удобном месте и в комфортное время!

Как сдавать экзамен из дома

Не буду подробно рассказывать, какие требования предъявляются к заявителю на статус PMP, как составлять заявку и прочее, эта статья посвящена в большей степени новому формату сдачи экзамена. Инструкция ниже для тех, кто допущен к сдаче экзамена и уже оплатил сертификацию.

Основные 3 шага, которые необходимо выполнить для сдачи сертификации онлайн, описаны на сайте PersonVue.

Шаг 1. Тест системы

Используйте компьютер, с которого планируете сдавать экзамен, нажмите на «Test my system» и следуйте инструкциям на экране. Удостоверьтесь, что тест прошел успешно, и вы имеете техническую возможность сдавать экзамен из дома. Важно, чтобы у вас было устойчивое интернет-соединение. Я, например, перезагрузила роутер за несколько часов до экзамена, чтобы интернет не «зависал».

Шаг 2. Регистрация на экзамен

Теперь можно назначить день и время сдачи экзамена. Переходите по кнопке «Login» (учетные данные совпадают с учетной записью на сайте pmi.org) и попадаете в личный кабинет PersonVue, где у вас будет возможность выбрать вариант «online proctored testing» и назначить подходящую дату и время прохождения теста.

Шаг 3. Сдача экзамена

За 30 минут до назначенного времени нужно зайти в личный кабинет PersonVue, перейти в раздел «Приобретенные экзамены» и нажать кнопку «Начать экзамен» (раньше она не появится). Все другие программы на компьютере, кроме OnVue, нужно будет закрыть. Далее начнется самое интересное — проверка личности экзаменуемого и требований к рабочему месту. Вас попросят ввести номер телефона, затем придет SMS-ка со ссылкой, после перехода по которой необходимо будет выполнить ряд действий:

• Сделать селфи (не забудьте причесаться).
• Сфотографировать удостоверение личности (паспорт или водительское удостоверение, я использовала загранник).
• Сфотографировать рабочее место с четырех сторон. На рабочем месте не должно быть никаких лишних предметов, и конечно же, никаких шпаргалок.

После нескольких минут ожидания, в течение которых будет происходить проверка вашей личности, на компьютере автоматически запустится окно сдачи экзамена. Поехали!

В середине теста вас ждет 10-минутная пауза, о которой я писала выше. По истечении 4 часов экзамен завершится, и вы сразу же получите уведомление о том, прошли ли вы сертификацию. В случае успеха уже через несколько дней вам на почту придет заветный сертификат PMP и подробный отчет с результатами.

Несколько слов о подготовке

В интернете есть множество статей и советов о том, как готовиться к экзамену. Коротко поделюсь тем, что помогло мне, помимо личной мотивации, терпения и воли.

1. Мое знакомство с PMBoK началось с 5-дневного курса по подготовке к сертификации в обучающем центре «Проектная Практика». Это обучение направлено именно на сдачу теста. В подарок дается книга с большим количеством тестовых заданий, аналогичных экзаменационным.

   Пользуясь случаем, хочу поблагодарить нашего лектора Игоря Борисовича Храпкова за его энтузиазм и энергию, именно он вдохновил меня на сдачу PMP!

2. Чтение книги от Rita Mulcahy. Желательно читать в оригинале, поскольку официальных переводов на русский нет.

   Книжка очень объемная (около 700 страниц), но читается довольно просто. В ней много заданий и тестов, которые делают акцент на понимании важных концепций, необходимых для сертификации. Даже если у вас не слишком высокий уровень английского, не нужно бояться этой книги, ведь это отличный шанс совместить полезное с полезным и подтянуть профессиональную лексику во время подготовки. Не стоит лениться делать все тесты и задания из книги, потому как они помогают понять суть возможных вопросов на экзамене, и вам не придется ничего заучивать наизусть.

3. Симуляторы экзамена

   Существует огромное число приложений и сайтов с экзаменационными вопросами, но не все они одинаково хороши для подготовки. Делюсь ресурсами, которые понравились мне:

   • Симулятор на сайте Школы управления Алексея Минкевича. Бесплатный ресурс на русском языке с возможностью сдавать тесты по темам и два полных теста на 200 вопросов.
   • Тесты на сайте EDUHUBSPOT. Англоязычные курсы и тесты, в бесплатном доступе только первые 3 раздела, для доступа к ресурсу нужно зарегистрироваться. После регистрации каждый день вам на почту будет прилетать один тестовый вопрос от лектора с объяснением правильного ответа.
   • Онлайн-симулятор экзамена от PMClub. Открытый ресурс, но также требуется регистрация. Платформа отличается тем, что ваши результаты сохраняются на протяжении трех месяцев и вы можете отслеживать прогресс. Более 1000 вопросов в базе, суть и форма подачи вопросов схожи с тем, что встретились мне на экзамене.

Ну вот и все! На весь период подготовки я потратила около 3 месяцев, но последний месяц был особенно интенсивный, несколько недель я жила без выходных, и мое воскресное утро традиционно начиналось с прохождения четырехчасового теста на симуляторе. Проделанный путь я воспринимаю как увлекательное путешествие или игру. Это было непросто, но интересно и познавательно.

Некоторые утверждают, что сертификат — это только бумажка, и она никак не помогает в жизни, на реальных проектах. Я не могу с этим согласиться, так как в процессе подготовки мне удалось значительно структурировать свои знания и подходы к проектному управлению. Я постоянно «примеряла» на себя ситуации и проблемы, описанные в вопросах, проживала их, анализировала. Думаю, что теперь я буду по-новому смотреть на различные трудности и проблемы, с которыми сталкиваюсь в своей профессиональной деятельности, потому что знаю, что «наиболее правильный» вариант решения есть всегда.

What is a PMP Exam Simulator?

Также я приобрела бумажное 9-е издание книги Риты и читала ее параллельно с просмотром курса.
