1. Package holidays, which include flights and hotel accommodation in the same booking, have been popular for several decades. Recently, however, a new type of package holiday has been introduced: the ‘all-inclusive’ package. Many holidaymakers, particularly those with families or those on a limited budget, are attracted by all-inclusive holidays. This is because all meals, drinks and snacks such as ice creams, as well as flights and accommodation, are included in the price.

2. The Isles of Scilly, off the south-west coast of Cornwall in the UK, are a popular tourist destination. 5. On long flights, it’s important not to sit still for too long, as this can be bad for your health. For your feet, take your shoes off and put your feet on the floor. Raise your toes as high as possible and hold them there for about five seconds. Repeat the exercise until your toes get tired.

Changes occur in most industries, and travel is no exception. A new trend in temporary accommodation has gained popularity recently. Its appeal is rooted in people’s desire to find a smart place to stay ___ (A).

— обратите внимание, что если в одном из пунктов, предложенных в задании, присутствует слово «IF», то это сигнал того, что Вам нужно построить вопрос общего типа

— на экзамене задавайте вопросы общего (General Question) и специального типа (Special Question)

— не забывайте употреблять вспомогательные глаголы

— не рекомендуется задавать косвенные вопросы типа: “Could you tell me…”

— не нужно начинать свой ответ с этикетного диалога: “Hello. My name is Ann and I’m calling to find out more information about …”

Model 1

Without doubt, package holidays are the most popular type of holiday. However, tourists must carefully weigh up the good and bad points before choosing one.

A package holiday certainly has its advantages. Firstly, it makes booking a holiday easy. The travel agent arranges the flights, accommodation, meals and sometimes the activities, which are all booked and paid for in advance. Secondly, there is a wide range of holidays to popular destinations on offer. Everything from a safari in Kenya to a walking holiday in the Lake District is available. Furthermore, package holidays are cheap. Travel agents are able t o offer package deals which are much cheaper than any holiday an individual could arrange for themselves.

However, there are also some disadvantages. To start with, tourists often stay in the resort complex to take advantage of the facilities and avoid additional expense. This means that they do not visit local attractions or learn about the people and culture of the country. In addition, choices are limited on a package holiday. For example, if the entertainment or food provided is notto thetraveller’s taste,they must putupwith it or pay extra for an alternative.

To sum up, package holidays have both pros and cons. On the one hand, they are cheap and convenient, but on the other hand, they can be restrictive.

Model 2

Package holidays are the best type of holidays. There are so many advantages to booking a package holiday and very few disadvantages.

First of all, it couldn’t be easier. The travel agent makes all the arrangements and the flights, hotel and meals are included and paid for ahead of time. Also, there is a wide choice of destinations. Finally, package holidays are cheap. Travel agents are able to get huge discounts for bulk bookings that individuals cannot. Therefore, they can offer package deals that cost less than the sum of the individual parts.They pass these discounts on to you and me, and so we can go on a cruise around the Med or a safari in Kenya or skiing holiday in the Alps for a reasonable price.

All in all, it is easy to see why package holidays are so popular. They are the cheapest and easiest option.
