Каждый школьник, изучающий английский язык, задумывается о своём словарном запасе: знаю ли я все необходимые слова? Какой у меня уровень? Сколько слов я должен выучить, чтобы успешно сдать экзамен? Сегодня мы разберемся, какая лексика нужна для сдачи ЕГЭ по английскому.

Давайте сперва разберемся с уровнями, которые есть в английском языке и с минимальным словарным запасом для каждого уровня:

Для успешной сдачи ЕГЭ по английскому языку необходимо владеть уровнем В1-В2.

Разумеется, мы не будем перечислять сейчас все 8500 слов, однако поделимся полезным наблюдением, которое, безусловно, поможет подготовиться к ЕГЭ.

Лексика для ЕГЭ по английскому делится на 11 блоков:

• Travel and transport
• Science and technology
• People and society
• Mass media
• Hobbies and free time
• Food and shops
• Education
• Work
• Art
• Nature
• Health

Как показывает практика, если поработаешь с достаточным количеством вариантов ЕГЭ, начинаешь замечать, что лексика повторяется: из блока в блок встречаются одни и те же темы, фразовые глаголы, устойчивые сочетания, слова и выражения.

Тексты для чтения, аудирования, темы письма, эссе и говорения будут выстраиваться вокруг этих тем, поэтому необходимо выполнять задания формата ЕГЭ, выделяя для себя незнакомые существительные, глаголы и прилагательные.

Таким образом, чем больше вы погружаетесь в мир ЕГЭ, чем больше работаете с форматными заданиями, тем больше ваш «экзаменационный» словарный запас.

In the early 1860s, trains were the preferred way to travel. They weren’t particularly comfortable, however, until American engineer George Mortimer Pullman decided to make trains more luxurious.

By the late 1860s, trains furnished not only sleeping cars, but kitchen and dining facilities, where elegant meals were served to passengers. This was innovative for the time, and was aimed to encourage people to use trains for long distance travel and vacations.The first of these Pullman trains in England ran from London to Brighton and used electricity for illumination.

In 1881, another railway entrepreneur, George Nagelmacker, introduced the use of a restaurant car onboard, and the first Orient Express train service was begun. Running from Paris to Romania the route included Strasbourg, Vienna, Budapest and Bucharest.

Thanks to the 12 mile Simplon Tunnel, which connected Switzerland and Italy, the Orient Express expanded, including a route to Istanbul, and the legendary romance of the Orient Express was in full swing.

Тема: Обучение лексике.
Лексико-коммуникативный подход при выполнении заданий для подготовки к ЕГЭ.

Цель:- обучение лексике по теме «Развитие
жизненных навыков через призму использования гаджетов».

Задачи: — формировать лексический запас
обучающихся с учетом тематики кодификатора при подготовке к ЕГЭ;

— обучать навыкам поискового чтения;

— развивать навыки устной речи с использованием
лексических единиц, представленных в тексте;

— формировать навыки написания личного письма в
формате ЕГЭ с использованием  лексических единиц, представленных в тексте;

— подготовить монологическое высказывание по формату
задания №4 устной части ЕГЭ с использованием лексических единиц, представленных
в тексте.

screen!” Does that sound familiar? Some
parents still believe that playing video games is bad for you, however, in
recent survey over 80 % of the people
questioned agreed that some games could help teenagers develop valuable life skills.

Every day we face challenges at school, work or in our personal lives, and
we need to develop the skills to deal with
them. Computer skills, for example, are vital for most activities we carry out in our daily lives as well as
helping you with studying. When we are young we
are able to learn basic social skills but there are other important
skills that can be more challenging to acquire.

            For example, there are many video games which can
help us to develop problem solving skills.
Some games help develop patience and
perseverance skills by continuing to increase the level of difficulty. 2_________ As a result of playing these games,
players can develop confidence, as being
able to overcome the obstacles gives you
a real sense of achievement. Patience, 
perseverance and overcoming difficulties are three essential skills in everyday life.

As humans we often learn through mistakes, however some mistakes
would be best avoided. Video games can expose
you to making decisions in the virtual
world by allowing you to choose your characters’ actions and then showing you
the results of these actions. 3_____________

In the game The Sims, players control every aspect of a Sim’s
life including making important decisions and learning
how to budget, so that the Sims can successfully
build a life in society. 14-year-old Sylvia is a big StarCraft fan. She says “To succeed in the world of StarCraft  you have
to plan ahead and think strategically. 4__________
I could use those same skills to plan my studies ”.

However beneficial
these games may be, there are things to remember.  Too much screen time can isolate you from the real world and if
you play multi-player games online, then you need to be sure who you are
playing with. 5___________ It’s also vital
to make sure that you are not running up a huge bill in games that you pay for online. Ian, 16, said “I used my Dad’s
credit card and when the statement came, I wasn’t
allowed to play games online for six months! Now we have special
internet awareness classes at school to educate
and inform us better. I certainly learn my lesson”.

Links between schools and video games
developers have resulted in more games focused
on developing life skills. The not-for-profit organization, Makerspace, has
developed an education programme based around games in conjunction with
Minecraft. The programme claims that 30 minutes of video play in the classroom
can improve planning skills, memory and motor skills. 6___________ So, play and learn two valuable
lessons at the same time.

Task 4. Imagine that you are
doing a project “Kinds of games for teenagers” together with
your friend. You have found some illustrations and want to share the news.
Leave a voice message to your friend. In 2.5 minutes be ready to tell the friend
about the photos:

• give a brief description
of the photos, justifying the choice of the photos the project;

• say in what way the
pictures are different, justifying the choice of the photos for the project;

• mention the advantages and
disadvantages (1–2) of the two kinds of games for teenagers;

• express your opinion on
the subject of the project – whether you would like to play video games and
why.

You will speak for not more
than 3 minutes (2–3 sentences for every item of the plan, 12–15 sentences
total). You have to talk continuously.

Example of the answer:

Hi, Mary! I have found some pictures for our project “Kinds
of games for teenagers” and I’d like to share my thoughts with you.

Well, in picture 1 there are four teens playing a board game
in the room. In picture 2 there are two boys playing a video game and sitting
on the sofa. These two illustrations suit our project as they demonstrate the
adolescents who are satisfied with their choice of the games.

Speaking about the differences between the pictures, the most
obvious one is that the first picture shows a special board made of cardboard
and dice which are necessary for the game, whereas the second picture depicts 
special  gadgets such as play stations to play a video game. However, these two
photos are still suitable for our project in terms of contrasting types of the
games which teenagers choose to
play.

The two kinds of the games for teenagers have their
advantages and disadvantages.  The main advantage of the board games is that
they do not need special preparation and can be played everywhere, but there is
a drawback – teenagers may argue with each other as they play board games in
groups. As for the video games, they develop such life skills as patience,
perseverance and overcoming difficulties. However, video games damage
teenagers’ eyesight a lot.

 Personally, I wouldn’t like to play video games as they are
harmful for my health and I do not consider them to be effective in developing
my life skills.

 I hope, you’ll approve of my choice of the photos. Please,
let me know what you think about them.
