southwestern United States, they encountered the ancestors of the modern-day Pueblo,

Barbed wire, first patented in the United States in 1867, played an important part in
the development of American farming, as it enabled the settlers to make effective

Сейчас результаты теста признает только 451 учебное заведение по всему миру, но их количество растет. Список всех колледжей и вузов, которые принимают сертификат TOEFL Essentials, обновляют на официальном сайте ETS.

Онлайн из дома. Тестирование проходит в программе ETS Secure Test Browser, ее нужно скачать на сайте ETS и установить на компьютер. Следят за порядком через специальный сервис ProctorU, который проверяет, чтобы студент не списывал и не искал ответы в интернете.

Зарегистрироваться на тестирование и оплатить его нужно заранее на сайте ETS. Российские карты не принимают, поэтому придется найти знакомых с иностранными счетами.

Все виды экзамена — и iBT, и Essentials — содержат по четыре блока, но количество вопросов в сокращенной версии будет меньше. Кроме того, различаются задания по говорению, об этом подробно расскажем ниже.

Услышать разговор можно только один раз. Во время прослушивания не запрещается делать заметки на бумаге: их не будут оценивать, но они могут пригодиться при подготовке ответа.

Все задания выдает программа — человек с вами говорить не будет. Ответы нужно продиктовать в микрофон, а запись проверят специалисты-оценщики в центре ETS. Процесс и в центре, и онлайн будет одинаковым.

Потребуется выполнить два задания. Первое — прочитать небольшой текст, послушать отрывок записи и ответить на вопросы по материалам. Во втором задании нужно написать эссе минимум на 300 слов по заданной теме.
